This Ken Ganley Kia on mentor ave. let me leave their establishment without any oil in my car after telling me everything was checked over, inspected, and said i was good to go. There was no check engine light on prior to bringing my car to their service center. When i went back the next day concerned about my check engine light that turned on while driving home from picking my car up, they said i had to pay for an oil change to get the situation fixed that they caused. i took my money somewhere else to get the oil change they said i needed. my check engine light is still on and i now have to find a different mechanic to scan my car and find the problem that they couldn’t fix. More

Poor experience with service department, lack of communication about service, rude and condescending. I spoke to service manager while enroute to 4:30 appointment, spoke about concerns of vehicle, communication about service, rude and condescending. I spoke to service manager while enroute to 4:30 appointment, spoke about concerns of vehicle, when I asked what time their mechanics worked till he told me 6:30. He said I might want to reschedule, they had no loaners, if van needed to be kept to diagnose brake problem. I opted to go to appointment for recall install and car seat heat switch replaced. I had been waiting weeks for both parts and had been told I would receive all call when the parts were in. I was never given a call that they were in and when I called for this appointment I was told I needed to check with the parts department to see if parts were in before I made an appointment to have the repairs made, which I did and then made the appointment. I arrived for this appoint by 4:30 contrary to the time they reported on the invoice of 4:40, the young lady checked my van for the problem drove it back and forth in garage then proceeded there was not enough to do all the work and diagnose problem and asked me several times what do you want to do finally I said I want a loaner and my van fixed. She went looking for the service manager in garage returning saying she could not find him. At this time I decided I needed my van the next day for grandkids transport and told her never mind I do not want a loaner today at which she insisted no hold on. She went into an office stayed for no less than 10 minutes leaning against a wall talking laughing and smiling as I could see them through a window. She came out telling me I needed to reschedule to get all done at once. So I asked that all my concerned be put on invoice and reminded her of one concern at which she rudely told just wait I am doing one at a time. It was not so much her telling me this fact but the condescending way she did. When I expressed my displeasure in her rudeness she became vey loud and said “Do you want someone else to do this” at which I answered “If you are going to be disrespectful yes”. She then passed me on to someone else. It was very uncomfortable. Also on the invoice it stated work was unable to be done due to Techs leaving at 5:00 pm although the service manager had told me a half hour earlier via phone they were there until 6:30 I had left a message for the service manager that morning I needed a loaner if I had to leave my van, at that time he did not have a loaner and than is when I told him I would continue driving to appointment to get the recall part and switch installed at this appointment. Again let me point out I had a 4:30 appointment was there before 4:30 and he told me techs were there until 6:30. I drove 45 minutes one way to be treated rudely and have no work done on my van. More

I was originally going to purchase a 2024 Chevy Trailblazer, but at the last second, did a 180 and made a visit to Ken Ganley Kia in Mentor. I was interested in their Seltos EX.
