I chose Ken Garff because I remember how kind the service department was when I brought in my vehicle for a safety inspection. He was eager to show me vehicles and we did several test drives. Scott was patient and wiling to go that extra mile to help me make an informed decision and ride off with the car of my dreams. He introduced me to several members of the team, the finance guy, Ernie the trade in specialist and the associate handling the detailing of my just purchased vehicle. I want to thank them all for their help, knowledge and willingness to provide awesome customer service! Each time I came back to the dealership there was always some one their with a smile and a hello, offering their help if it was needed. I purchased a vehicle from Ken Garff Honda in Salt Lake a few years ago. They sold me on their "120 Point Mechanical Insepction" and assured me that nothing was mehcanically wrong with the vehicle I was very few years ago. One week after buying the vehicle I took it back for the check engine light being on. They kept the car for an entire day and told me they would have it fixed. Two weeks after that I took the vehicle back for the same problem and they kept it for another full day. I asked if I could get a loaner and was told no. In addition when I purchased the vehicle I was told that I had to purchase a mechanical warranty since my credit wasn't perfect. However, during the second repair of the same problem I was told that it did not cover what I was trying to fix and that I had to pay for the repairs upfront. After arguing for a few minutes they finally told me they would fix it at no cost again "this time". Despite having already paid for the warranty I took my vehicle to another mechanic shop (B&R Tire who are awesome by the way) where I spent a few hundred dollars getting the vehicle fixed the right way and fixing a few other minor things that I think should've been caught in Ken Garff's "120 Point Inspection". I bring this up now because I've seen a lot of "We listen" commercials from Ken Garff lately, but it seems like as soon as I told them how much I wanted to put down as a down payment, they didn't care much about what I was saying. The sales person that sold me the vehicle called and left messages for me every three months asking if I knew anyone else who wanted to buy a car or if I was ready to purchase another vehicle but he never asked how my experience with the vehicle that I had already purchased was going. I finally had to tell him to stop calling since I will never be a customer of Ken Garff again. I looked at the Better Business Bureau as well as Gephart Approved web sites and it looks like I should've gone to Henry Day Ford instead. More

We searched all over the valley for car dealerships and cars that fit our criteria of being newer, reliable, safe, and a good value. Being first-time car buyers, we were slightly nervous and visited many car dealerships before we stumbled upon Ken Garff Honda in Downtown Salt Lake City, just down the street from our home! We went in to the dealership on a Thursday evening, and walked out with a new car! From beginning to end, it has been a wonderful experience. While other car dealerships saw us as young, newlywed, poor college kids and didn’t really help us very much as far as knowledge of cars and test driving, Jake at Ken Garff was an excellent help to us. I hate to call him a salesperson because I don’t feel like he sold us anything, he sold himself! He was low-pressure, extremely honest, and relatable. He was very open and didn’t make us feel dumb like other salesmen did at other dealerships. He took us seriously and proved to be very reliable. He is fairly new to the dealership, and he told us he prides himself in working at such an outstanding facility, as he should. Jake answered all our questions, was very warm and he made us feel safe. We don’t feel like we got hassled at all, and we had a wonderful first-time buying experience. PLUS we got an amazing, beautiful car (Certified 2010 Honda CR-V). We would (and have!) recommended Jake to many of our friends and will refer anyone to him who is in the market for a new car. Skyler was fantastic to work with. He did all our financing and just like Jake, made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. I had no idea that buying a car took so long! But they told us we were pretty fast. They both (Jake and Skyler) stayed well after business hours to make sure everything got taken care of. Our financing was tricky, but they were a dream to work with and they jumped through hoops for us! I really appreciated how much they cared for us to make our purchase possible. On top of the wonderful car we were able to purchase and the excellent service, I do have to comment on the service team as well. They are so efficient and Adam helped my husband and I so much. He is the most professional car expert I’ve ever worked with! He took such good care of us and while our car we purchased was not new, it was certified and he went above and beyond to make sure it felt brand new. He fixed all the little issues we were concerned with, and just made us feel so great after we left. I had a little bad experience and mixup with the shuttle, but I believe they got it straightened out. It wasn’t enough to overshadow the fabulous service and treatment we received. We are more than pleased with them and will be very loyal to this dealership. The new Honda owner workshop was wonderful. I found out so many perks to purchasing our car and servicing our car at Honda. The $25 gift card for dinner was great as well. I can truly tell that the team at Ken Garff Honda cares about their customers and that selling cars is not their number one priority. There is a reason why there are dozens of great reviews all over the internet! They truly are the best and I feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon them that day!
