I received a notice on my Ford App that there was a recall on my 2024 Ford Edge. Although I had purchased this vehicle from another dealer 2 hours away I went to Key Ford for advice on the seriousness recall on my 2024 Ford Edge. Left the truck all day to address the “check engine” and “check coolant additive” messages. Was informed that I needed a new SCR filter ($6,306.06) plus a sensor assembly ($285.57) plus labor for a grand to “check coolant additive” messages. Was informed that I needed a new SCR filter ($6,306.06) plus a sensor assembly ($285.57) plus labor for a grand total of $8,495.67! This was warranty repair from 2021 and thus is “out of warranty”….even though I’ve only driven a couple of thousand miles since then! I’ve bought 4 Ford vehicles in the last 15 years…..I will probably never buy another! By the way, when I drove away from the dealer, both warnings came on again!!! More
