That is so disappointing to me because we work so hard to try to provide an outstanding experience to our customers. We've obviously failed with you and I'm so sorry. We are working to get a car wash into the service drive. As you can imagine, biting off a new facility was a big move for us. We just moved in on the January 1st and we're still working to perfect our processes. We've had positive feedback from most of our customers about the improvement since moving into the new facility. We hope to have the car wash installed in the next six months. If you do come to our facility again, I would be happy to show you the area that it already prepared to house the car wash. Dear Ms. Merriam, Thank you for your prompt and kind response. I had the opportunity to reread my post this evening and am embarrassed about the crass tone that comes forth. My intention was to give constructive criticism, but I find after rereading it that many of the comments were unnecessary and unkind. I am truly sorry for this kind of behavior. ( I would still love, however, to give you a bit of feedback as my husband, too, is in management, and he always appreciates feedback from customers to make his business run more smoothly. So I would like to focus on a point that I think may help improve the experience for customers at your branch. While we have thoroughly enjoyed our purchase, I was being honest when I said that the few times we have frequented the store we have received a lukewarm reception from the staff. For example, recently when we dropped our car off for service, there were a few staff members standing around and no one greeted us. It took a few minutes before we were even helped, although no customers were also waiting. I, too, am in the service industry. So I do truly understand how at times the minutia of a day can be overwhelming. But service with a smile, a kind word, and genuine enthusiasm really does go a long way. We also frequent a local Volkswagen dealership for our other car, and we have always been incredibly impressed by the fact that the head of service remembers our names, asks questions about our day, and always shows genuine interest in us as people not just us as car owners. The atmosphere of the branch feels warm and inviting, treating customers as if they are one of the family. I know that this kind of atmosphere would also benefit your branch. Currently, in my opinion, it is lacking. Regardless of whether we have been in the sales room or the service portion, the perception we have received is that customer service is secondary. This distracts from the customer’s overall experience in and feelings towards the store. An example of this type of customer service, placing the customer at the center of the process, would have been if when we had entered the staff had asked if we had seen the new store, inviting us to peruse it while waiting for our car and informed us of upcoming additions like the car wash. This would have made the transition from the old to new building more exciting (letting us feel the excitement of the staff as well) and easier for everyone involved and made us as the customer feel a part of the process.
