My husband and I have been planning our relocation to CT for the past few weeks. Having lived in major cities, we've never needed a car. We spoke to several dealers who were able to discuss lease deals over the phone based on the applications we filled out on their websites. Key Hyundai was the only dealership to require an in-person appointment to discuss potential leasing deals with us. We were shopping around for a good deal before our move. We wouldn't have a car to get around in, and didn't want to rent a car for that purpose. Rather, whatever money we would have spent renting a car, we preferred to add to any down payment. All of the other dealers we communicated with understood this. The people at Key Hyundai either have bricks for brains, or they understood and lacked any willingness to accommodate. My initial conversation with an "internet specialist" (a/k/a receptionist), Melissa, leads me to believe it might be the former. If your only job is to insist on making an appointment, you're a receptionist. I prefer not to be misled into thinking I'm dealing with someone who can actually assist me. Additionally, if the first person you deal with has trouble putting together a cohesive sentence, there's very little hope for any successful transaction. I learned this the hard way. Here's what I was told in a nutshell during all of my communications with Key Hyundai: "We received your information and processed your personal information which included a credit check. You are eligible for several deals, but we can't tell you right now because it's illegal." Yeah. They kept spewing a poorly constructed legal argument about requiring an appointment because CT law requires verification of identity. Companies verify people's identites over the phone, all the time. I recently changed our cable plan with our CT cable provider and was certainly not required to show up in person so they could "see and verify" me. Ridiculous. Either they didn't have anything to offer, or they wanted me there in person with the intent of pushing me around to sign a pricey deal. If they actually believe what they told me, their lawyers need to go back to flipping burgers. My husband has a Harvard law degree, but it certainly doesn't take one to see through this BS. When he mentioned this to his colleagues, they summed it up in three words, "Stupid or shameless." It's clear that Key Hyundai is just fishing for mentally-challenged customers, or pushovers. Luckily, I was contacted by a very helpful and accommodating dealership, Wile Hyundai. Their way of handling business is straightforward and efficient. I'd rather walk the highways of CT in my Manolos than purchase or lease a car with Key Hyundai. It was made clear to me that they don't care for my business, and thus safe to assume not yours either. Our experience was wonderful at Key Hyundai. Due to a car accident we were forced to purchase a vehicle, our experience could not of been better especially due to the circumstances. We purchased the new Veloster from Joshua, his knowledge of the car was extremely helpful, he answered all our questions and concerns about driving in snowy conditions. Joshua also took extra time going over all the details in the manual and he even helped to set up our cell phones to the blue tooth. Sal and John were very pleasant to deal with on the financial end and they were able to get us a great interest rate, it was much appreciated. We are enjoying our new car. I went to Hyundai looking to test drive a Veloster. Josh was so friendly and informative about this car. As I drove, he asked, "if I expected the Veloster to be so comfortable and fun to drive?" As soon as you drove up thy were very attentive, and a willingness to help. They knew all the information about saleing the cars. And you felt they had your best interest in mine. I went to the dealer today just to have my car appraised and left with a brand new Tucson! I was greeted by Ed and told him I was curious about trading in my current car for something a little bigger. I'm and left with a brand new Tucson! I'm a new mom and my current car was getting a little cramped with strollers diaper bags cars eats etc but I was worried I still owed too much on my 09 vehicle. He had Georgina take a look at my car and she was able to get me out of my current vehicle and into a larger suv for less money than I was currently paying. Ed called my insurance to find out how much my premium would be on the new car and I was amazed it was only 32.00 more a year. During the test drive Ed showed me all the features of the car and ensured I was comfortable with my new purchase. I'm am ecstatic about the car, it has so many more feaures than I thought I'd be able to get. I have heated seats, a roof rack, free satellite radio for three months, and exceptional bumper to bumper coverage, plus so much more! Jonathan took care of my paperwork, was fast friendly and efficient. I was out of the dealership on on my way home in less than 2 hours, which in my experience is a miracle! I am so happy with key Hyundai and with my beautiful new car! Thanks so much, I would highly recommend working with the above mentioned individuals. I truly value their professionalism, competence, and most of all their genuine desire to make me feel welcomed and happy with my purchase! More

I walked into this dealership to browse for a car and found the last Elantra on the lot, which happened to be in the color I wanted.
