Everything was great until I took it in for routine service in June of this year. They left my oil plug loose and the car lost all oil while on the interstate. Randy (Service Manager) had the car towed in and they worked on it immediately. I picked the car up and thought things were okay until I noticed the car making odd noises and puffing black smoke. It jerked forward while I was driving so I decided to take it back to Kia. They called me to pick it up and when I asked what they did to fix it, they said they just cleaned the oil off of it. I asked to be traded out of the car. I was not comfortable driving it and had no confidence in the service department at that point. I picked up my new K5 on July 12th and on July 28th the car would turn on but the engine would not start. We had the battery checked, just in case, and it was fine. Randy had it towed in on Friday the 29th and assured me it would be handled quickly. I stopped getting updates from him, which was unusual, so I finally called the store that Monday. I was informed that Randy no longer worked there and that they couldn't look at my car for 1-2 weeks. I asked to have whoever took over for Randy to call me. I have called several times since then and left messages, but I still have not had anyone call me back. Any information I have received has been when I was lucky enough to get someone on the phone for the service department. I have no update on my car. I don't know when I will even get it back. They have now had the car in the shop longer than I have owned it. I fully understand that things happen but the way they handle issues is absolutely pathetic. Please do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
