WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! !!! The series of unprofessional oversights and safety issues I have encountered post-purchase are deeply concerning. Shortly after acquiring the veh !!! The series of unprofessional oversights and safety issues I have encountered post-purchase are deeply concerning. Shortly after acquiring the vehicle, I observed exposed wires in the rear passenger seat area, which resulted in the seat fold button being non-functional. Upon consulting with an automotive repair shop, I was alarmed to learn that these were live wires, posing a significant safety risk to any occupants in those seats. Additionally, the passenger side rearview mirror was found to be inoperable, further compromising the vehicle’s functionality. Compounding these issues, the check engine light illuminated a mere two days after the purchase. The diagnostic code pointed to a faulty gas cap, a defect confirmed by Kia of Everett. It is apparent that this issue, along with others, was not addressed prior to the sale, which should have been standard procedure. Moreover, I discovered that Kia of Everett dealership did not conduct the certified pre-owned inspection on the vehicle, another shop did according to the service guy, contrary to what was represented at the time of sale. Further inspection revealed an oil leak and uncovered active recalls on the vehicle less than 30 days after purchase. These recalls, known to all dealerships, were neither disclosed nor rectified before the sale. This lack of transparency and diligence in addressing critical issues reflects a severe lapse in the dealership’s responsibilities. Additionally, it was evident that the vehicle was not touched when the dealership received this vehicle in trade from another dealership. It was not even detailed; nothing was wiped down. The car wash was done by the salesman at 7 PM because everyone else had gone home for the evening. This neglect underscores the inadequate preparation and lack of care provided by the dealership. The culmination of these issues has not only undermined my trust in Kia of Everett but has also raised significant safety concerns. It is evident that the vehicle was not adequately inspected or maintained, putting my safety and that of my passengers )(my son) at substantial risk. It is imperative that such ethical lapses are addressed to prevent future customers from enduring similar experiences. More
