The dealership is going to reimburse us for the cost of our windshield as well as 3 years of windshield protection. Hannah was the key player here who took the time to listen to my concerns and understood my frustration, then talked to the manager on our behalf. We bought a used Hyundai Elantra Hybrid. When waiting for the salesman to get it it took some time and he told us it was because the battery was dead and then he found out it just needed th When waiting for the salesman to get it it took some time and he told us it was because the battery was dead and then he found out it just needed the reset button hit. Well my daughter drove it for a week and then it shut down on her on the road and said the hybrid battery needed serviced. She pushed the button and it drove fine for another week and then did it again. A press of the button and we drove it straight to a dealer. Here we learned that the battery is on a nationwide recall and is on back orders that have been lasting 3 months to a year! We asked the dealership to work with us because we felt they knowingly sold us a faulty car. This is a Kia dealer... Kia and Hyundai are sister companies and it turns out Kia's are suffereing similar backorders. They have had it for 4 of our 6 weeks of ownership now. They offered to buy the car back for 3k less than we paid for it, not to mention the extended bumper to bumper warranty we bought, and the > 600 we spent having the windows and sunroof tinted. This is simply unacceptable! Stay Away! More
