I purchased a brand new 2025 Kia K5 GT. I followed all the recommended break in suggestions to a T. My first break in period oil change was great. Then i took my car in for its 5,000 mile oil change and was told they found metal shavings in my oil. I was VERY concerned about this as i have only had the car 8 months. They allowed me to take it home with limited driving recommendation and said they wanted me to bring it back and made me an appointment to do so. I brought it back in and they confirmed that it still has metal shavings in it and that they would need to keep the car to see if it was "normal" or not. And if it was not "normal" they would open a claim to get it covered and see what was going on. Now this being my first new car, i was very upset and sad that this was happening, but felt a bit of comfort knowing that since this was a new car with such a great warranty, that all issues would be fixed and covered. That is why i bought a new car. So that i could have peace of mind if something goes wrong. I asked them how long they would have my car and i was told by Kia that it could take them 3 weeks to get a claim approved or it could take 8 months as there are 100s of KIA dealerships and only once Techline. I cannot be without a car as i am a caregiver and i need a vehicle to transport my patient. My patient has a lot of appointments and a surgery coming up so i asked about them getting me into a rental while my car is being kept at their cost as this is certainly not any fault of mine and i should not be paying for any of this. I was told that this dealership does not have loaner or rental cars due to some past bad experiences with other customers but that KIA will pay for a rental up to $45 a day, but only if its a covered issue and i would have to wait for them to decide if this is normal or not. They say i can pay for a rental myself and they would reimburse me "IF" its a covered issue but i cannot afford to pay for a rental and should not have to. I have to say this is HORRIBLE customer service for someone who just bought a new car and we all know that metal shavings in oil is most definitely not normal, especially at 8 months old and 5,000 miles! I have to call every day to find out the status of my vehicle, and every day i get told they will call me back and they never do. So far they have only said that they have sent pictures to Techline, and Techline asked for a video? It's been 8 days since they have had my vehicle. More
My experience at this service center was extremely disappointing. Over the course of more than a month, I received no proactive updates about my vehicle. I had to initiate every call myself just to ge disappointing. Over the course of more than a month, I received no proactive updates about my vehicle. I had to initiate every call myself just to get basic information. Jeff, the service advisor, showed little interest in assisting me or ensuring I was taken care of. The lack of communication and customer service made this the worst experience I’ve had with any service center. More

Husband just bought a truck from them after they harassed him for weeks about it. He drove over 2 hours to drive it. However, the pictures posted online were crap. Fast forward a bit over a week, and already some hose went out, and he was told, “Oh well.” Also, no call back about the wheel to be replaced. On top of the promise to fix note was not being followed through with. He is told to call and gets the runaround as well as back and forth yes/no about the wheels being fixed. Liars and all about getting your money and talking salesmen till it rolls off the lot. Let’s not start about the GM. What a joke! They also say one thing and then never call back even when he says he will. I’d walk before I ever buy a car from them and will never say anything nice or refer them. Since I can’t respond to what the reply was I’ll add… Derick the GM my husband has called you as well as other multiple times and get no call back so funny you would reply with that. I believe the legal term for what your business is doing is called “Predatory lending,” I sure hope this gets resolved as the next step is to get our lawyer involved. This is ridiculous as you know he has called you but yet refuse to call him back. Days of still trying to call this GM again as was told to do so and no call back. More

$800 oil change! I took my 2023 kia in for an oil change on 10-15-24. I’d already signed up for just an oil change and tire rotation online but when I got there, th I took my 2023 kia in for an oil change on 10-15-24. I’d already signed up for just an oil change and tire rotation online but when I got there, the service “advisor” Trevor told me I needed a ton of extra service. I told him I only wanted what I signed up for but he told me I had to have the extra stuff because my car needed 20k service. I argued and should’ve walked out but I said fine go ahead. I was charged over $800 ($740 after the "discount"). On a car with 20k miles… for routine maintenance. The only services on this huge sheet of charges that’s recommended by the manufacturer is an oil change so I was lied to when I told I needed extra then bullied into giving in. When the service supervisor Kristi called me to see how service went she apologized and said they’ve been having this problem because “their job is to upsell” but wanted to make it right so she promised me the new service manager Roy would be calling me the next day. When I didn’t hear from him I called and left a message with return to call back. It’s Nov 7th and I’m still waiting. I’d give zero stars for the maintenance department if I could. I wouldn’t take a hot wheels car back there let alone my kia, I’ll be going literally anywhere else from now on. More

BUYER BEWARE! !!! DONT BUY A KIA! First off, they take forever to fix anything! Warranty coverage is a joke. We have been waiting to have our engine replaced !!! DONT BUY A KIA! We have been waiting to have our engine replaced after seizing up at only 80k miles and that there is 17 cars waiting in front of us to have engines replaced. These cars are crap. On top of that, they have been leading us on telling us months ago that it will only take 2 weeks. We call every other week to check on the status and they tell us the same thing, just 2 more weeks. They have an excuse about something on why things aren’t moving forward every time. We have a car payment with no car! They won’t help with a rental and with the time frame it looks like it’s going to be months till it’s fixed. We have a new born baby and need means to get around with NO help from Kiefer, they lie to us over and over. DO NOT fall for there tricks, just because they offer a warranty, you’ll still be without a car for months, making payments, and if you want a rental it’s $45 per day, which seems like some scam to make more money off us! Just want to give a heads up to anyone thinking of buy a Kia or going to Kiefer to buy a car, DONT DO IT!! More
