Service on 9/5/18 King Windward Nissan is always such a helpful service center. Although, I came in to have my oil/filter changed and address the rusting screws on the King Windward Nissan is always such a helpful service center. Although, I came in to have my oil/filter changed and address the rusting screws on the racks on my roof of my 2016 Rogue. This was the same problem that I had with this car when I first bought it in 2016. When I bought it in 2016, it wasn’t even a few months until I noticed the rack screws were rusted. I bought it in, but the dealership said they needed to re-order brand new racks just to replace the rusted screws. That took a long wait because the dealership notified me the racks were coming in separately. The racks were eventually replaced and screws were fresh. Now it’s 2018 and the screws are rusted again. I researched online and this seems to be a common issue with other 2016 Rogues. Because the screws are not stainless steel, the quality of the material causes them to rust more frequently. Unfortunately, at my service on 9/5/18, the sales associate told me the warranty is no longer valid and that Nissan wouldn’t cover the cost to replace the screws. She suggested I look into other home stores to see if they have screws that match the ones on my rack. Oh well! I would suggest that it be noted to management that this seems to be a common issue for Rogues, perhaps elevating the quality of the screws may be better. More
