Sales rep did not listen - After agreeing to the deal I told him since my wife was on the paperwork I would have to go get her. The sales rep then told me to empty my car that I was trading and he would take off the plates. I then emptied the car and stacked everything outside the door. Sales rep then asked when my wife would get there. I told him before I had to go pick her up and she was not coming until I got her. He said well we will have to finish this the next morning. He suggested I leave allo my stuff I had taken out of my car at the dealership until the next day. I told him that was unnecessary and put everything back in my car. As I drove home I seriously considered canceling the whole de3al because obviously the sales rep didn't know what he was doing I decided I liked the vehicle and would continue with the sale. My wife and I came in the following day and the vehicle was ready. He told me that Nick, your technology guy would explain the electronics. Nick did a good job and told me after his briefing and set up that my sales rep would continue the orientation/explanation of the vehicle. We asked the sales rep what else we needed to know and he said it was all in the manual. The only reason I know there is a separate tire warranty is because we were sitting next to another sales rep who was explain to his client everything that was in the manual folder. If this had been the first stop on my evaluation of the Ford Escape I would have walked out because I learned nothing from the sales rep. .. More

Great dealership! I had been looking for an older model Mustang and when I found one at dealership, but had an issue with negative equity in my current car loan, everyo I had been looking for an older model Mustang and when I found one at dealership, but had an issue with negative equity in my current car loan, everyone from the sales manager I was back and forth on email with for a couple of days, to the salesman John Heath, Bill Vioux and the finance guy Ken, worked with until they made it happen. Dan Cutter sent us an email giving us the best and fastest route to get there which was different than mapquest so that was much appreciated. First contact with Kody was very helpful. I work second shift in a printing plant that is strict with cell phone usage and he made sure to text and that was much appreciated. They did have all the paper work ready to go and went extremely quick and worked with our Credit Union. Dan Cutter was very nice, introduced himself to our boys. Kidded with them asking if they were Michigan or Michigan State Fans. Very nice to work with. The truck looked great and was in the price range we were looking for. Only one little misrepresentation, the ad said rust free and it wasn't, but it was still better than the trucks we looked at in Michigan. The other unfortunate incident was the truck stalled after we got home, we tried to restart and it wouldn't start so we ended up having it towed to Borgman Ford in Grandville and it ended up costing us over $800 (plus towing) to fix. Disappointing after having the truck for less than a day. Not sure if that could have been diagnosed before. Hopefully everything else checks out and we can enjoy our new ride. More

He made the whole experience less stressful than usual when dealing with buying a car. I came in on Thursday, test drove 2 cars and left. I came back the next day, fairly certain I was going to buy the white Explorer and Toby made it easy. More

I am upset over the fact that price was agreed to over the phone (after the original salesman, Paul Plunkett, talked to his manager) and since it was not either discussed with Mike Duffy or it was ignored when the "better" deal was found,(they saved me 0.4% on interest, but I am paying more for the car, don't see where that is "better" for me) was not the final price I paid for the car. Had I been just a little more alert, (after working a full day, starting at 4 a.m.... and rushing around to get there... I wasn't on top of my game) I would have caught this, so it is partly my fault. . Either way, I am still not pleased with this part of the deal, they agreed to a price and charged me more. More
