Very poor and uncoordinated service when purchasing a new ca Ben (and others) I just want to let you know that our experience in purchasing this car was very disappointing, on several levels. First off, Ben (and others) I just want to let you know that our experience in purchasing this car was very disappointing, on several levels. First off, the "RF RACK XBAR *DLR INSTLD ACCY" was not on the car and it was only AFTER I questioned it, did you (Ben) realize that is was missing and had not been installed. If we had not said anything, I'm sure we would have left without it ever being installed. Secondly, since we could take the car home on Thursday when we purchased it, you (Ben) said he would get the car cleaned up and filled up and we could pick it up anytime, even after hours, since the second key fob would be left locked in the car. Well I'm glad I didn't show up after hours since the second fob was not in the car when we picked it up the next day. Had we indeed come after hours, we would have had to make in ANOTHER 2 hour round trip to pick it up. Further the roof racks were still missing. When I asked, I was told Ben had to order them and I would have to make yet another trip back to pick them up and have them installed. (Ben, an email, text, or phone call would have been nice!) When I did come to pick up the car, the second key fob was not locked in the car and it took a good 15 minutes to finally track it down in your desk. Again, a little coordination would have made it a lot easier. Lastly, Ben you said you'd have the car cleaned, inside and out, and it was, thanks. You also said it would have a full tank of gas. I guess your definition of full tank of gas is a little different from mine. (See the picture I took on the way home.) I only noticed it about a mile down the road and, since it was rush hour Friday traffic, I was not about to turn around. When we got home, Alayne noticed the half scrapped off Middetown Ford sticker on the rear hatch. (See the second photo.) No need to worry though, we will finish the job. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we can not and will not recommend your dealership to anyone. You should also know that we were scheduled to look at and purchase a similar Explorer at Northgate Ford. Since we preferred the White over the Black, we went with your vehicle. In hind sight we should have stuck with Northgate since we found their customer service to be superb. Regrettably Follow up to Kings Ford response to my review. They must not be too concerned since I have to call them. They have our phone numbers and email address. If they were serious about "improving" their image, you would think they would be the ones doing the outreach. More
