We were getting the oil changed in our 2014 Prius, so started looking at the new Priuses to pass the time. Baldomiro Romero asked us if we'd like to test drive a new one. We declined, but got talking about the Avalon we traded in on our Prius. He suggested we try out a Camry, and was seconded by Dick DeMuth, the sales manager. We test drove it for twenty miles. Long story short, we decided the Camry Hybrid would be perfect for us, and they gave us a pretty good deal on our car as a trade-in. They basically offered us every option, financing, straight up purchase, etc. and we didn't feel at all pressured. But we couldn't pass up the deal they offered us! When we walked into Kolosso Toyota, we immediately felt at ease. There was no pressure of any kind. We walked around and looked at many nicely displayed beautiful vehicles and when we were ready to speak to a sales person, we approached the help desk where two very nice and friendly women greeted us and immediately handled our request. Within minutes Bruce Steinike introduced himself to us. We told Bruce we were interested in test driving a Toyota Yaris Hatchback LE. He answered, "Sure". We asked several questions which he quickly answered staying focused on the Yaris. There was no meandering, just plain talk with straight forward answers to each of our questions. If the answer was "NO"... Bruce nicely explained why. It was Refreshing! While looking at the Yaris, we ran into a young man named Jake. He told us he had owned a 2010 Yaris and he loved it, but lost in an accident. Interested, I asked Jake were you hurt. The answer surprised me. Jake come up upon a serious accident on Hwy 41 where he parked his beloved 2010 Yaris between ongoing traffic and several wrecked vehicles sitting helplessly on the highway. The traffic found and destroyed his beloved 2010 Yaris but no body was hurt. You don't meet real life hero's like Jake which sacrificed their vehicle to protect others! Jake was there looking to buy another Yaris. We asked Jake to come along on our second test drive and he did. Armed with four passengers Bruce, Jake, my wife and myself in Yaris Hatchback LE... it proved it is not a weak or a under powered vehicle as some on-line would suggest. This being my second test drive, first was in a the sedan, I insisted Jake drive. We asked if we could get on the highway, Bruce said, "Yes" and Jake showed us how highway capable the Yaris is! 70 mph... no problem. That's with 4 people including Bruce and myself in the back seat, we're talking a considerable amount of weight with just us two! ;-0 We found the Yaris performance outstanding and the gas mileage is great! We previously owned a 2000 Saturn LS2 with a 3.0 L engine. Although the Yaris is not as powerful as our Saturn, we are completely satisfied with the performance of that tiny engine and the steering/handling is even better than our Saturn sedan. Bruce was a delight and we found him very knowledgeable and informative. Never did we feel pushed, hurried or uncomfortable. Coming from other dealers and hours of pressured-cooker sales driven by the mob-like back room managers who were completely incompatible to produce a single on-paper quote, Kolosso experience was much different. In contrast, Bruce had two complete quotes in our hands almost as fast as I could asked for them. And, the bottom line figures were 100 percent accurate to the penny! No hidden costs or fees, everything was there for us to see which was exactly what we asked for. That is how all car sales SHOULD be! The old school methods of upselling, not listening to the potential buyer's budget concerns and quote "creep" DOES NOT exist at Kolosso Toyota! Bravo! Our 2000 Saturn L300 Sedan lasted us 20 years. We hope this vehicle will last as long, but if we had to or wanted to buy another vehicle we would definitely go to Bruce at Kolosso Toyota first! The experience was so good we wouldn't mind buying another vehicle from Bruce at Kolosso Toyota every couple of years whether we need one or not! It was a great buying experience without the pain!
