They I was dealing online with a salesperson about a Jeep Wrangler. I explained I had a significant amount of negative equity on my current vehicle. They proceeded to work up numbers for my trade in. When I received the out the door price, which showed the negative equity, I responded that I would be willing to fill out a credit application and that I would need my payment to be at a certain amount and told them how much money I could put down. They sent me the credit application and told me to send a copy of my drivers license when it was completed. I did just that and was told to make sure I answered my phone because the finance department would be calling. Instead I got an email saying that it wasn’t worth reaching out to the banks with the amount of negative equity. Then why would you have me fill out a credit application? Now my credit has a hit on it for no reason at all! Very frustrating experience!! More
Never get Oil Changed/Tire Rotation Service Here! I had an oil change/tire rotation appointment past two weeks but both times I had to come back home without the service. Even after making an APPOINTM I had an oil change/tire rotation appointment past two weeks but both times I had to come back home without the service. Even after making an APPOINTMENT, I had to wait 3-4 hours for it and due to that, I do not recommend this place for anyone. Whoever is organizing appointments is full of xxxx. They need to hire a new person and get it fixed asap. I wasted 2 hours of my day going back and forth for 2 weekends in a row. Never recommending this xxxx place to anyone. More

Less than a year later, my GPS just stopped working. At first they told me they "didn't know" how to fix it because it was a 2019. They had me bring it in 3 times and they still didn't/were not able to order a replacement radio and started blaming their parts provider. Months have gone by with no effort to resolve the issue. My last email about the GPS was over a month ago. They don't return calls and they repeatedly lie to you. There is no one to call because the general manager dodges all customer calls. The warranty "manager" told me that JEEP's number one problem is the U-Connect system! It is their most replaced part...but God help you if you need once replaced on a 2019 car. This place ONLY cares about selling cars as they are a high volume dealership. Service here is an after thought...and customer service is a complete joke. More

Shifting stories felt like a scam -- stay away! Two days ago, we went to Koons Tysons Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to look at a used Buick. It was only about 3 months old with just over 1,300 miles, so most of the warranties remained. While going over the Carfax report with us, the salesman (Corbin) specifically pointed to the warranties and said the balance would transfer with the car. Buick offers a 48 mo./50,000 mile limited warranty, so we would still have about 45 months/48,700 miles left. When we were handed off to the finance guy (Thomas - didn't get a last name), he said the original warranties don't transfer, but they would replace them with a 36 mo./36,000 miles warranty. I said that was not what we were told by Corbin. Thomas left and came back with Corbin. Thomas repeated that the warranty wouldn't transfer and Corbin said he didn't realize that, it was his mistake. He apologized ("sorry, guys") and left. Thomas then introduced 5 other warranties. We didn't get to the prices because I stopped him and asked if the non-transfer was a Koons policy or industry practice. He said it was a Koons policy. I said I felt like I'd been lied to by salesman because they sell plenty of used cars and he should know the policy. (Later, Corbin was described as one of their more experienced salesmen, making that point even stronger.) We said we couldn't understand how a dealer could invalidate the manufacturer's warranty. He repeated that it was the policy. We asked to speak to his manager. He brought someone named Shah(?). I'm not sure if he was actually a manager or just someone with more experience, but he told us that warranties used to transfer with the car, but after the 2008 financial crisis, the National Association of Auto Dealers had changed it so original warranties did NOT transfer. I mentioned that Thomas said this was a Koons policy. Shah said that was incorrect, it was industry-wide. I said I now felt like I'd been lied to TWICE -- once when the salesman said the warranties would transfer and once when the finance guy said it was a Koons policy. My sister had driven us there and left after paying the down payment. We got her on the phone. She's a very experienced car buyer and said she'd never heard that. She asked Shah, "So you're telling me that the NADA determines what a car manufacturer is allowed to offer to the second owner of one of their cars?" He said yes. We continued to push and he said he would go check with their sister dealership, Koons Buick. He came back a few minutes later and told us that the original warranties WOULD transfer with the car after all, now claiming that the policy varied by manufacturer (after telling us it was implemented by NADA industry-wide.) I said I now felt like I'd been lied to THREE times. (Actually, this final "correction" actually meant the salesman was originally correct, but that doesn't change the fact that we heard 3 different stories.) To summarize: - Corbin the salesman told us the warranties would transfer - Thomas the finance guy said they would not transfer and it was a Koons policy - Shah the second finance guy said firmly the warranties would not transfer and that was an industry-wide NADA policy - After "checking," Shah said it WOULD transfer and the policy varied by manufacturer It looks even worse for them when you consider: * Their own website says: ""Many Koons (used) vehicles come with the balance of the original manufacturer's factory warranty." * We later found an article from Aug 2018 on the Kelley Blue Book site saying: "Warranties are tied to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and transfers with the car until the warranty has expired." https://www.kbb.com/car-news/can-i-get-a-warranty-with-that/2100005672/ And to top it off, Shah got touchy and argumentative, even after his original statement was proven wrong, when we said it felt like a scam to sell us additional warranties. They never acknowledged our position or said they understood how we might feel uneasy or cheated given their shifting stories. Just awful customer care. This dealership is either dishonest or incompetent. Currently, 13% of the inventory on their website is used cars. They obviously sell a lot of used cars, so they obviously know if an industry-wide policy that prevents warranties from transferring to a new owner exists or not. If they know, they were lying and trying to scam us. If they don't know, they're utterly incompetent. We concluded they were lying, but either way, you can definitely find a better dealer. It's no coincidence that they rank 31st out of 32 Chrysler dealers rated on dealerrater.com within 50 miles. You have 30 better options - do yourself a favor and choose one of those instead! We ultimately bought the car. We live 50 miles away, our ride had already gone back home and it was almost 8PM. Getting someone to come get us would have created a lot of issues. Besides, in the end we could say we got what we came for at the expected cost. But it left a very sour taste. If we had a way to get home without making the night even more difficult for the whole family, we would have canceled the deal on principle and gone elsewhere. I recommend that everyone does that! A good positive experience After getting nowhere after 2 visits to a nearby dealer we stopped in at Koons Tyson’s Ram. Within 15 minutes we had a deal and ordered a new truck. 24 days later the truck arrived. We came in and closed the deal. Most of the paperwork was already prepared before we got there. After a couple of corrections to the paperwork and a test drive, we were on our way. Took 2 hours. Our salesman Craig was outstanding. Leo in finance was very helpful. Everyone was friendly and the dealership itself was comfortable, bright and well maintained. More
Finance was a Nightmare I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 on April 9, 2019. I secured financing from my credit union prior to purchasing the new vehicle. I test drove a truck and I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 on April 9, 2019. I secured financing from my credit union prior to purchasing the new vehicle. I test drove a truck and told them I had financing approved from my credit union. Since it was after 5pm I was told that Koons could do a "hold contract" while they waited for the check from my credit union. I signed finance paper work which I was led to believe was a "hold contract" and I found out several weeks later it was actually financing through Chrysler Credit. My credit union sent a check to Koons who then send a Koons check back to my credit union. In the title paperwork Koons sent to the State of WI where the vehicle was supposed to be titled they stated that Koons returned the bank's check because the buyer preferred Chrysler financing. This is absolutely false and at least 3 Koons employees were aware of the fact that I already had approved financing prior to test driving the vehicle. The check that Koons sent back to my bank was the wrong amount and did not fully pay off the loan I had with my credit union. They also screwed up the title paperwork. I left numerous messages for someone to call me back but after the sale is final they can't be bothered to return my calls. Apparently I am now responsible for cleaning up the title and financing mess that the Finance Department created. More
Worst Customer Service Summary of our attempted car buying experience at Koons Tyson Jeep: We are a busy family, we don’t have time to go from car dealer to dealer, nor d Summary of our attempted car buying experience at Koons Tyson Jeep: We are a busy family, we don’t have time to go from car dealer to dealer, nor do we have the time or patience to deal with haggling about price. I did my due diligence to get pre-approved for a loan with USAA. (Which is not the issue in this rant, we have had nothing but excellent customer service with USAA. Members for life!) A service that USAA offer is a car buying service, no haggling – win! You enter the type of car you are looking for and then several dealers send you pricing on various vehicles. Here’s where the story turns downhill… I’ve already driven the Grand Cherokee. I knew the options I wanted. Emailed back and forth with dealers. I found the car I wanted. Sales person sends me the price. I specifically ask if it’s the USAA car buying price. Answer – “No ma'am, the USAA is not included. If you are a USAA member, you can subtract an additional $1,000 from your out-the-door price.” Great, put the deposit to hold the car and schedule a time to come in on Saturday to pick up the car. When we arrived to pick up. The person I was dealing with takes us back to the online sales department to someone else, who obviously had no idea we had an appointment. He has to find the car. While they prep the paperwork, we drive a different car to one lot, not there, then another, to finally find it. Needless to say no one was ready for us. Car is perfect. It’s exactly what I wanted. We come back to the dealership. Paperwork is $6,000 more than the quoted price. Sales guy has no idea what we are talking about. Sales Manager comes in, more haggling. They admit they’ve made a mistake, but aren’t willing to make it right. Worst customer service ever…needless to say, I’m still looking for my car. More

My experience was smooth, it did take a while to deal with paperwork and talk to financing but this is a very busy dealership so it should be expected! Our sales guy Phillipe let me take out my 2018 Dodge charger for a spine after seeing I was in love with the car, and after driving it he had me sold! He was very informative about the vehicle and was very helpful in making the purchase smooth. I came in the next day, spent about 4 hours settling everything and left in the evening with my new ride ! Thank you for the information and smooth transitions. More
Good deal but HORRIBLE Finance Manager I received a good price on my trade-in and received a good price on my new 2019 RAM 1500 Limited, but the Finance Manager was absolutely horrible. Th I received a good price on my trade-in and received a good price on my new 2019 RAM 1500 Limited, but the Finance Manager was absolutely horrible. Their job is to sell you on EXTENDED WARRANTIES and not to help you with financing, so come prepared with your own loan rate from a bank. I did the math and none of the extended warranties that he said would pay for themselves did. In addition, the one I did buy, I ended up cancelling because what he said it covered and how it had to be paid was not accurate. Koons management did respond and were able to refund my money. More
