I came in here looking for a car, found the dream car for my first car and best of all, got it for a great price! Ive been to different car dealerships and walked out empty handed everytime , but thanks to Jhamal, he was very friendly, enthusiastic and attacked the price to meet my needs! Definitely ask for Jhamal, awesome guy! And im very thankful for his friendly and great first experience buying my car! Thank you!

"Lazy with lack of communication and follow through"

- Local

Every time Gennifer said she would call me right back, she didn't. When she said she would update me, she didn't. It took her over 4 hours to convey any messages and it took the techs working on the car 2.5 days to take care of work that my regular Hyundai dealership said should have been done in one. They are lazy and lack communication and follow through. Professionalism lacks for those said reasons and also for Gennifer wearing yoga pants and eating cantaloupe at her desk instead of being a costumer service rep/ advocate and organizer. I am disappointed that it took so long for the techs to manage my car without any said complications. I use this shop again.

- billlyl

We had a continuing intermittent problem with the transmission of our 2006 Hyundai Sonata. Multiple trips and tows to another dealer did not correct the problem. Finally, we were referred to Korum Hyundai for their service department to "get another set of eyes" on our Hyundai. We're so glad we took the car to Korum. Ray Haddenham, our service advisor, was completely professional in the way he handled our transmission problem. When we explained the situation to Ray, he went the extra mile in diagnosing and correcting the problem. The clearance for replacing the transmission was obtained from Hyundai Motor Corporation, and a new transmission was installed. We're changing to the Korum Service Department for all our Hyundai service needs. Bill and Margy L.

"I went to get my 30,000 mile service and found out there..."

- Dabon2009

I went to get my 30,000 mile service and found out there was an issue with my brakes that was not an expected situation. It was an issue that could have been found out by the dealership I had went to on several occasions for oil changes but it was not something that the dealership that I had been working with actually looked at as part of their service. Korum Hyundai could have charged me for the brake work but since an actual dealership had NOT done the job to check the parts they stepped up and covered another dealerships mistake. I would recommend this dealership and intend on making them the new home for the work needed to keep my families car in the best shape possible.

- kirsti74

Wow, just got off the phone (2/21/13 5 pm) with the service desk. I was trying to make an appointment to get my car serviced prior to a trip. The person on the phone was as rude as they come. When I said I would like to make the appointment the individual asked - "For today??". I said I would like to make it for Saturday if possible. This person proceeded to scold and lecture me that I couldn't expect to make an appointment that quickly at this time of year, and the soonest they could schedule would be no less than a week out. I said I needed it prior to making a road trip - scheduled for the following weekend so would need it sooner than that. The response was = "sorry". What a lack-luster individual for a customer service rep. I ended up saying I would have to take my business elsewhere. Response was - "ok". What a disappointment. I bought my car there about 2 years ago and have been very pleased with the sales personnel and all of the individuals I have dealt with up to this time. I guess one bad apple can really ruin the experience. Not sure if I will go back.

"This is the second vehicle we've purchased from this..."

- 1tmica

This is the second vehicle we've purchased from this store. While the sales experience has always been excellent, primarily because of Alex and Vern, the service dept. has been a real disappointment. We purchased a 12 Veracruz and have had some very minor issues with it: 1. Vehicle needed to be cleaned. We purchased it in the evening and the detail dept. was closed. 2. The vehicle pulled slightly and an independent shop confirmed alignment was out. 3. Noise while making sharp turns. While all these issues were minor, it is how the service dept. treated them that upset us. First, we were told that this vehicle was not designed to travel on gravel. Rocks were lodged in the hub assembly and next time it would not be covered under warranty. The advisor explained that under no circumstances was this vehicle to exceed 2.5-5 mph on gravel or other loose surfaces. Second, alignment was unchanged, everything was in spec. Third, we were told the detail dept. wasn't the best. I ended up doing it myself. The tech also left grease prints on the seeat. I sent an email to the service manager but never did get a response. I've always liked servicing my vehicles were I've bought them and I typically interview/talk with service prior to buying the vehicle. While the sales side of things were great, I really feel the service side of Korum simply dropped the ball. They were given multiple chances to correct the issues, and just plain didn't. I would recommend choosing a different dealership, perhaps one that takes care of you in BOTH sales and service. With companies trying to win every customer, those dealerships should be easy to find. ***UPDATE*** The service manager contacted us and has offered to correct all of our issues.

- JeffreyfP

Korum Hyundai is a great dealership and I enjoyed my overall experience with them when I took my car in for service. I was able to make my appointment online and once there at the dealership, I was promptly seen by the service advisor. The service advisor was friendly and informative. The waiting area is nice and clean with the obligatory flat screen TV and magazines, but also tea, coffee, and popcorn from a popcorn machine. The service advisor provided occasional updates and was accurate with time estimates. The dealership also provided a complimentary car wash and vacuum. All of these factors give me the impression that Korum Hyundai values its customers and doesn't hesitate to ensure their customer service is top notch.

"I went in for a routine oil change, when I was leaving I..."

- aerial261

I went in for a routine oil change, when I was leaving I noticed one of my CD cases was ziped shut and moved from it's usual location (I never zip this case). Come to find out a couple of my Cd's were missing. I called the dealer right away to file a complaint. I was told a rep would call me back shortly. Days went by and nothing...So, I called again , again I was told someone would contact me. Days went by again, So, I called again. This was totally unacceptable and I was not going yo let it go. This time when I called nobody would even take my call, (they ask your name when you call). I kept calling back and still nobody would talk to me about this. So I emailed the manager of the dealership, on the website it says they will respond within a couple of days....still nothing!! Amazingly HORRIBLE customer service , not to mention after a couple of times going there for service a couple of days later something else would go wrong with my car. SABATOGE !! I am sure of it... DO NOT EVER BUY OR SERVICE YOUR CARS AT ANY KORUM DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I was talked to Rod and asked if he knew about a couple..."

- shanda9624

I was talked to Rod and asked if he knew about a couple of issues I was having with my car. When I purchased my car, there was an indentation on the dash that should not have been there. He asked if I could come in so he could take a look. I said fine and asked what time you closed. He said that he leaves at 5:30. I would do my best to be there by 5:30. At no time did he offer to wait, or make any accommodations whatsoever. I pulled in at 5:25 and he said “You’re late.” A week later, still no call. I called and asked what the status of my car was. He was trying to look up my info and I had to spell my last name at least 3 times. At first was told my work order was closed. Then was told a couple of other things before he found the info. Then told that he had left a msg for Mitsubishi and he was waiting for a return call. So I waited again for a call back. I waited a few days and decided to stop by the dealership and talk to someone about my frustration. I spoke with the Sales Manager at the Mitsubishi lot (Mark?) and voiced my concerns. Mark suggested that I contact the Parts Mgr and voice my concerns to him. I called the Parts Mgr (Rich), and repeated the above to him. He was pleasant and listened to what I had to say. He told me that the Mfg. Rep. does not visit all the often so that may have been the problem and that he would check in to it. I said that had I been told that from the beginning I would have understood. I expressed my displeasure over Rods complete lack of communication. Rich said he would get back to me. Rod called me a couple of hours later and told me that he had spoken to the Mfg Rep and the problem with my dash was a defect and would need to be replaced. It was over a week later that I spoke to Rod again and was told that the parts were in. I made an appointment to get everything done. At this point I have owned my car for over a month. Took the car in on 7/9 as agreed. I pointed out a couple of more items that I felt were wrong with the car. While I was there I asked if a message could be left for Rich to please call me. I was told the message would be left and he would give me a call. A couple hours later I received a call from “Tracy” who said that I had a scheduled appointment at 7:30. I said yes and had dropped off my car. She (in a not very nice tone) asked where I dropped it off, and I told her. She said oh, I guess that’s why I can’t find it! At some point that afternoon I left a message for Mr. Korum and GM with the secretary requesting that either of them call me. I felt they should know what was going on. There is much more, but I'm out of room!
