We are in our mid 50's, and have purchased quite a few vehicles, and this was the BEST buying experience we have ever had. Although Danny is relatively new to Shuman, he loves his job there and it shows. He is very comfortable to work with, showed us different vehicles, different options on purchase vs. lease, and took the time to get to know us personally. Being a Firefighter, I am need of a very reliable vehicle. Late last year I purchased a 2008 Mercury Mountaineer, I started having trouble with my shifting into forward and reverse, i made an appt. and brought my vehicle in, it was repaired (or so I thought), and was told it was a broken motor mount, after a few days, it began again and was getting worse. I again contacted service and made an appt. after a few days, i had to call them back several times and was finally told that they could not find anything so nothing was wrong. Within a few more weeks, the problem came to an end with the lose of Reverse, I again brought my vehicle back to your service department and was immediately told by your service rep "That needs to go to a Ford Dealership", not a how can we help you? I see you have been in here for the same issue several times before and had only purchased the vehicle a few months ago from us, we will take care of you. It was then taken over to New Hudson Ford dealership where I again had to make several calls to find out what was going on, only to be told by the Ford Dealership Service that the Transmission would need to be replaced at a cost of $4200 and that it was Just out of warranty so it was all me. I was beside myself with anger at the Service departments disrespectful treatment towards a customer. My family had over the last year purchased 3 used vehicles and could not believe how we were treated. I contacted Ryan as a sounding board and for some advise, he and the Financial officer worked their magic and got me into another vehicle (a 2012 Dodge Journey) a vehicle I absolutely love. And am very happy how I taken care of by those guys. Although I am a little upset at the amount of funds I had to put out of pocket (3000) for 2 down payments and car rental while my vehicle was was looked at, I am very happy at the professionalism and degree that Ryan and the Finance group did to help me. I will again continue to refer people to the used and new sales department, but due to the horrific care I received from the Service department, i will advise all those to steer clear. I would like to say that your GM did apologize for the poor service and make sure that I was being treated well by Ryan. I will definitely recommend Ryan for all sales needs. I should have been coming here all along. What a great dealership! I have done business with several other dealers in the past who treat you like nothing more than just another sale. Shuman is What a great dealership! I have done business with several other dealers in the past who treat you like nothing more than just another sale. Shuman is quite the opposite. Scott took care of my needs from the second I pulled into the lot. Gave me a great price for my trade in and did everything he could to make sure the car I purchased was exactly the way I wanted it. I will be moving all of my future business to him and Shuman Chrysler. I can't thank you enough Scott. By the way, someone please tell Mr. Shuman that he has the best ads on the radio. I always love when he does a new one, and find myself listening for them. To be honest, his ads are what brought me in. Keep it up! More
