To Whom It May Concern at Laird Noller Ford, I am writing regarding my purchase of a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport from your dealership. I am requesting that Laird Noller management contact me directly to r writing regarding my purchase of a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport from your dealership. I am requesting that Laird Noller management contact me directly to resolve several serious issues with this transaction, or I will pursue formal remedies as outlined below. Summary of issues: 1. Undisclosed prior damage: The vehicle had previously been in an accident. This was not disclosed to me at any point prior to purchase. When I returned to ask about repairing the wreck damage, no one at the dealership would assist me or even locate the parts needed for the repair. 2. Unauthorized extended warranty: An extended warranty was added to my financing without my knowledge or consent. I did not request this product. Despite multiple visits asking for basic information — what the warranty covers and for how long — your staff has refused to provide me with any documentation. 3. High-pressure sales tactics: I went to your dealership specifically to look at vehicles, and stated this clearly. I was pressured into purchasing on the spot. 4. Financial harm: Because the unauthorized warranty was rolled into my loan amount, I am now upside down on my loan, which prevents me from trading in the vehicle or otherwise resolving this situation on my own. I am aware that Laird Noller Ford has been named in connection with an FTC inquiry into dealership practices involving high-pressure sales tactics and undisclosed add-on products, and the issues above are consistent with those concerns. Requested resolution: I would like a manager or owner to contact me directly to discuss an agreeable resolution. This could include cancellation and refund of the unauthorized warranty, renegotiation of my loan to reflect the vehicle’s true condition and value, or a trade toward a new vehicle that makes me whole. If I do not hear back within 5 business days or if we cannot reach a resolution, I intend to pursue my rights under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, given that I was never provided warranty documentation despite repeated requests, and never authorized this product in the first place. I will also be filing complaints with the Kansas Attorney General’s office and the Federal Trade Commission. I really wanted to give LNF a 5-star review as the sales part to work with the dealership was such a great experience. The problem becomes if you go through their finance department. We purchased the Ford warranty at the dealership and didn't catch on the paperwork until we arrived home how much it actually cost. Went back to the dealership on day 3 to have the warranty cancelled. Rolando said he would cancel and send a check to the lender. That process took 49 days, which means we have now paid interest on a warranty we cancelled almost 2 months ago. Buyer beware and I'll read the paperwork much slower to catch the ruse next time. I've escalated this issue to the sales managers and nothing has been done. Buyer beware concerning a Ford warranty at this dealership. 5/11 Update - I bumped the score from 2 to 4. I heard today from the GM (Mr. Enyard) and he was very helpful in refunding the costs we had incurred and showed us again that customers are very important to Laird Noller. More
