SERVICE It was the day before Thanksgiving and my truck had a service warning light on. I stopped in to see if they could fix it or if I was able to keep driv It was the day before Thanksgiving and my truck had a service warning light on. I stopped in to see if they could fix it or if I was able to keep driving it and schedule a service appointment. They squeezed me in as it was a drivability issue and were not able to figure out the exact cause without more testing. I informed Craig that I would need a rental as it was a warranty issue and needed to be able to get to work until the truck was fixed. Once they figured out the would need to keep the truck in order to fix it, Craig found a car for me to drive until my truck was fixed. Great customer service on this visit. More
Ford Sync issues I have been having issues with the Ford sync touchscreen in my F-150 since probably August. Everything about the touch screen is delayed when pressing I have been having issues with the Ford sync touchscreen in my F-150 since probably August. Everything about the touch screen is delayed when pressing anything. Changing stations or turned volume up is delayed and after driving for a bit the navigation becomes useless showing me driving nowhere near where I currently would be at. The Bluetooth will constantly drop your connection from the phone. It’s something that has become quite the nuisance. I tried as early as August to get it looked at by setting up an appointment through Ford Pass App with no luck. I showed up for my appointment after receiving a letter about the engine block heater replacement parts being in stock and to set an appointment to have them switched out. I explained all this in the reason for appointment message through the app. I take the day off from work to set up the appointment to have that replaced and my sync looked at that I also noted in that same message. I arrive at the service center was asked why I was here. Told them my two issues to only find out instantly that he thinks they don’t have the replacement parts for the engine block heater cord and that a Ford sync download takes half a day. So needless to say it was a waste of time. Was told I would receive a call when parts where actually in there possession to have it replaced. Phone call never happened. So recent appointment I physically called since I will never use that app again for it’s uselessness. so recent appointment I had an oil change done and the engine block heater cord replaced. I also mentioned on the phone the same issue with sync. So service rep said car would need to be there the whole day so they can wipe the sync clean and do reinstall of it. Come to find out nothing was done with the sync with comments of “could not replicated customers issue”. All you have to do is drive around for a bit or actually start trying to access anything on the touchscreen and you will easily see the issue. So sync is still not working correctly and from what I gather from online seems to be a known issues with a lot of Ford customers and the only ones that seem to have any kind of resolution have had to get something called a APIM module replaced that controls the sync features. I have took it upon myself to download the sync update through a usb stick and doing it myself but it still has the same issues after getting a completion notification that update was successful. Guess only thing I can do now is just wait till this lease is up and be done with it. Cause nothing has been helpful in resolving the issue. More
