I went to Norman Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge to look at something economical and still roomy. I had originally intended on looking at used cars because I did not want to spend too much being on a fixed inc something economical and still roomy. I had a 2009 Dodge RAM 1500 with only 23,000 miles on it, but it was too big and and I drive 50 miles per day. I had seen a 2007 Honda Civic that I liked on their website. I called about it and Brian asked me to come in to see if I liked how it drove and so he could look at my truck and see what he could do. When I showed up at the dealership, the receptionist was kind and paged Brian for me while another salesperson offered me a beverage. Brian met me, showed me the Honda but then asked if I had considered something NEW. He said there were great incentives on remaining 2010s going into the end of the year. Although I liked the Civic, I let him walk me over and show me a Dodge Caliber. We took a drive, and when we got back he asked if the numbers were acceptable if that was a car I would rather own than a 3 year old Civic. I told him if he could get me a BRAND NEW Caliber for $330 a month or better, I would do it. My truck was appraised while we were on the test drive, and the numbers were put together in a timely manner. When he came back, he said we were really close. I was about $4000 negative in my truck, which kind of upset me at first, but then I realized I had driven it 23,000 in just over a year and it's value I guess reflected that. So it was explained that I had to carry over that $4000, take off the incentive (which was I think $2500) and now only go $1500 on top of what they were asking ($22,165). At this point I got to talk to a manager they called Diamond Dave. He explained that with my negative and the price with incentives, I could own the Caliber for $385 per month. I told him that it was to be $330 or I couldn't do it. He asked me for help, he said with money down it could be done. Given the holidays are approaching I didn't want to put money down, but I really needed to solve my car crisis. SO, after a few back and forths, I put $3000 down to get to my numbers. Needless to say, we made a deal and instead of a 2007, I have a BRAND NEW CAR!!! It was not what I planned on, but it's exactly what I needed. I've driven it for a few weeks now and average 28 MPG on the Highway. I would recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to stop by and see this dealership. They were very nice, not pushy, plenty informative, and really worked with me to get the vehicle I needed. Upon getting to Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge we were greated with friendly people, offered drinks and asked what they could do for us. We told them what vehicle we wanted to see they brought it up to the front of the dealership for us, it was exactly what we saw on line after a quick walk around and test drive we knew that we wanted this car. Not only that but they should us 3 others like it and all in the same price, needless to say we bought the vehicle with no hassle at all. We had the best service at Edmond Hyundai. They did not have the color Santa Fe that we wanted and Sent for it a very fast manor. My worst sales experience ever! I'm 45 years old and have made quite a few auto purchases over the years, and by far my experience with Norman Chrysler was my worst, hands down. I purchased a car at 8:30 pm and by the next afternoon the check engine light was on. They refused to look at it without charging me a service visit. They claim they lost money on the deal and that I should have been happy to pay to repair the car which I had just purchased since I received such a great deal on the car. My cost was $14,700 for a 2008 Mazda with 60K miles, so I never felt that I received such a great deal, only a fair one, until I was stuck with immediate repair costs. I'm convinced that they knew of the repair problems and passed them on to me. When they say "Nobody cars", they really mean it! More
