The reason that your sister store in Athens is handling the issue (techs at the Athens store have been very helpful and never once questioned that I had an issue as your staff did) is because, when asked to, I refused to drive a vehicle with this sort of problem back to your dealership. Not only was I worried about causing further damage to the truck, but the 80 mile trip could have been a safety risk to me or someone else in the event of a mechanical failure on the interstate. The only other option that was given to me was to call a roadside assistance phone number (third party) and have them tow the vehicle to the closest dealership to my house.I don't expect miracles when dealing with a situation like this, but a courtesy call from a service tech who would have been willing to take 10 minutes of thier time in order to ask a couple of questions and validate that there was an issue would have been an appropriate response. Instead, I was told that I wasn't used to an 8 speed transmission, and that there was probably no problem with the truck at all because the check engine light wasn't on. I sincerely hope for your sake that you do not give all of your customers that experience a problem with a brand new vehicle one day after purchasing it the same automatic response. Especially when you take into consideration the fact that my truck is on day 4 in a dealer service shop (probably in several pieces ) and no one even seems to know exactly what is wrong with it. If I would have experienced an issue with almost anything else I could have purchased, I would have returned it and without any questions asked, and been given a replacement on site. I do appreciate you responding to this review, but as of right now, I guess all that I can do is have faith in the techs at the Athen's location and wait until they are able to diagnose and repair the vehicle that is already costing me about $25 a day (payment,insurance,etc) to own. And just to think, the entire reason that I made the purchase in the first place was so that I would have a dependable vehicle that I would really love to drive for work and play while I am at home (working out of town a minimum of 50% of the time), which, right now, it seems to me that I chose the wrong one.
