I have always found Mike to be professional and helpful. I was notified by the dealership of the need for service on my vehicle. I was able to followup with Mike to change an appointment time. We were referred to Larry Miller Toyota by a family member who works with Ed Edmond and has for years we are following him over from Nissan. I just met Ed for the first time yesterday and he seemed li member who works with Ed Edmond and has for years we are following him over from Nissan. I just met Ed for the first time yesterday and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy and I have no complaints about him. He was friendly and understanding and though he didn’t know what was going on he attempted to help us get it resolved, so kudos to Ed for caring about the customer. We had initially contacted Ed over the phone as we live out of the general area and we wanted to do as much as possible over the phone before we had to go down to the dealership. We provided him with our information and the information on our trade in. Ed came back after running the VIN of our trade with a price of $15,000 (NADA says $19,000 for good condition trade in) as apparently the truck had previously been wrecked before we owned it. This was not as much as we had hoped for but it was still doable. When we went down to the dealership Ed had the day off so he referred us to his colleague Kevin Youtsey. Initially I liked Kevin and still do, I am just disappointed in his business tactics and that he did not follow through and take our best interest into consideration. For someone who kept commenting on customer service and making sure we were happy he sure did take us to the cleaners on this deal. Even having said that I understand that he had a job to do and that in his position he has to look out for his best interest as well. He is a very likeable guy and my review is not necessarily about him personally it is about the business practices of the dealership. Kevin was very friendly and seemed to understand what we were looking to accomplish and kept saying he just wanted to get us the best deal possible and we took him at his word. Unfortanley that turned out to not be the case. At Kevin’s encouragement we opted for a red 2013 Toyota Prius with 700 miles (he called it a rewind). As Kevin kept telling us we would get a better deal and it would be easier to bury our negative equity and that because the car had never been titled we would still get the $750 cash back incentive. So at this point we went straight to the drawing board to run numbers and figure out what we could qualify for. Kevin knew that we were expecting to come in with $1,800 down and wanted our payment to remain as close to the same as we were currently paying as possible. The first offer he came back with was: Car Price $25,500 (After the $750 cash back incentive) Trade In: $15,000-$16,000 Down Payment $2,500 Payment $699 This obviously wasn’t a payment we were comfortable with so it was back to the drawing board for Kevin. He told us that he hadn’t even brought up the fact that the car was a rewind yet and that we should expect another $1,000 off the price he had written down, which should have made it $24,500. At this point he stopped listing prices he had us write down a payment and a down payment amount and sign, we wrote the following: Payment $600 Down Payment $2,000 The offer Kevin came back with was: Payment $629 Down Payment $3,000 What we finally agreed to was: Payment $629 Down Payment $2,000 At this point what we thought we were paying was $24,500 after the $750 rebate. So you can imagine how surprised I was to see the listed price on the contract of $27,100. We had never seen the MSRP sheet on the car because it wasn’t on the car. So we had no idea what the car was listed as, what we were going off was the price that Kevin had written down and claimed was the price we would pay. Of course none of this was discovered until after we left the dealership. So when we were called and told that we needed to come back to resign because we qualified for a better financing deal this seemed like the time to ask for clarification. Upon returning to the dealership we finally were able to meet Ed and he directed us to a finance person to sign our paperwork and get clarification. The first lady we talked to was very nice and understanding and when I asked her why we were paying over MSRP for a “rewind” car she couldn’t get the numbers to match up and got a supervisor to explain it to me. Now I’m not sure how looking at the exact same paperwork and the exact same computer screens made it suddenly explainable by this person when the previous it wasn’t but apparently that was the case because he had answers. I was told by this gentleman who was condescending and I’ll say rude for lack of a better word that I was really only paying $23,500 and this how that math worked in his world. $27,100 -750.00 Cash Back Incentive -1,750.00 Desert Protection Plan -1,500.00 Trade Deficit =$23,100 In my world this is fraud. How can you quote me a price on a car and not list the actual price of the car? The car already had the Desert Protection Plan it wasn’t an option that I was agreeing to or an option that was even discussed with me. It was already applied to the car, I wasn’t asked if I wanted it, I wasn’t given the option to remove it, it had already been applied and I was getting it. So when I asked for the price of the vehicle it should have been included. If my trade was only worth $13,500 why was I told that I was getting $15,000 to $16,000 and why does my contract say $15,000. I don’t know about you but if this is how I did business at my job I would no longer have a job. Then to be told that “they” were saving me thousands of dollars on tax and that by getting me a better rate “they” were once again saving me thousands of dollars. Really this is how they do business I ask for clarification and they respond that I should be grateful for what I’m getting and that they aren't ripping me off more. What other reason would he have for telling me that as the dealership they could just absorb that extra 1% of interest and continue to charge it to me even though the bank wasn't, that as the dealership they could charge me a higher interest rate then the bank. There was no reason for him to share this information with me, at this point he was grasping at straws trying to cover for the lousy deal that I had called him out on. To me the appropriate way to do this was not to go into deal about how much worse they could make it for me. Wow! Shame on Larry Miller, shame on them for allowing people like this to work for them and shame on them for fraudulent business practices. I now understand allot more about car dealerships and how they do business. What it breaks down to is I paid $27,100 for a car with a listed price of $27,084 essentially a used car, a car that I was told was going to save me money actually cost me more than MSRP. They can spin it anyway they like and justify it anyway they like but no matter how they try and present it this is what happened. Everything I was told was a lie and nothing was appropriately disclosed to me. More

I like having the same person to work with each time I am in. Rick has made it a point of giving excellent service every time I've been in. In this instance, I found myself in the parking lot of a local grocery store when without notice my trunk latch stopped working after I just placed my purchases inside. I drove to visit Rick as soon I could after getting my purchase home. On a very busy Saturday afternoon when they were booked up, Rick and the staff made time to take care of my issue. Not only did they go out their way when I had no appointment but they also managed to assure me that it was no problem even though I was probably a nuisance. I have worked with Rick since purchasing my current car 5 years ago and have been able to count on him to answer my questions honestly. Not only would I recommend this dealer, I have. I have a family member that bought a car through this dealer and has Rick as their contact person for service as well. More
When you have an older vehicle you worry about how honest repair facilities are. Had several estimates for rear brakes but the difference in price wasn't worth not going to a trusted dealer. What was better repair facilities are. Had several estimates for rear brakes but the difference in price wasn't worth not going to a trusted dealer. What was better was the advice given to me about other repairs and maintenance items for the vehicle over 100,000 miles. Other places threw the book at me but the service provider carefully and completely guided me through a process that was reasonable and made sense for my vehicle. More

Purchased a new Toyota Tundra from them thru the Costco auto program in April and everything was fine. Went thru the finance dept for financing and went home and found a better/lower rate on my own. Went auto program in April and everything was fine. Went thru the finance dept for financing and went home and found a better/lower rate on my own. Went back the following week to fill out paperwork to get GAP insurance (>$600) which was covered thru our new lender. Was told my check will be mailed and I will get it in 2-4 weeks. 5 weeks later I contacted them after numerous tries and emails with no call backs and they finally told me it was a mistake in the paperwork and I will get it in 2 weeks. It is now almost 3 months since we purchased and no call backs, no emails and no refund. WORST experience we have EVER had with purchasing a new vehicle. I have had to contact Costco to assist in the refund process. I would highly recommend driving the extra distance to find a more competent Toyota dealer. I have already changed my maintenance to Avondale. More
