Recall Notice Not Honored We own a VW Rabbit and the brakes had a recent recall. The brakes failed and the car incurred major damage. The damage resulted in the dealership es We own a VW Rabbit and the brakes had a recent recall. The brakes failed and the car incurred major damage. The damage resulted in the dealership estimate of $6,600 worth of damage. The vehicle accident occurred due to a faulty brake system which was recently the topic of a recall letter sent by Volkswagen. When they were asked to fix the car, they refused. They will not honor the recall. In fact, we have reached the absurd, in that they would like us to pay $6,600 to fix the car completely so they can assess the recall. The car is not worth $5,000. They are avoiding responsibility and not taking care of a customers needs. I do not recommend buying from Volkswagen, as the parent company did nothing to help us with our concern. The result is that we are renting cars to use for work and school while they refuse to fix the car. We now have to take action which will cost more money and time. Sad that they do not care about customers. More

Horrific experince I visited the dealership at closing time but I was interested in a used car they had for sale. I called him the following day with a series of questions, none of which he really had the answers for, he said he would get back to me the following day.. he did not.. So I called him again and asked him the same plus more questions..of which he still could not answer.. such as how long is the warranty good for.. final cash payment price.. We spoke, I inquired if my mechanic could check out, Alan said he would check with manager and let me know... I did not hear from him I called him and we agreed that either Friday, Saturday or Monday morning they would bring the car to my mechanic and he would call me to get the information. This was Wednesday, I told Alan I was very serious about purchasing the car and just wanted my mechanic to check it out as the car was 17 years old.. I waited all weekend and Monday morning I receive a text from Alan that someone purchased the car the past Thursday and not even a sorry. After calling and leaving several messages this morning and not being called back I asked to speak to another person and I was given "Frank" who said bluntly that it was a lack of communication on both parts...and that if I had been serious I would have put a deposit on the car. Having NEVER purchased a car from a dealer I did not know this, nor did Alan ever suggest this. So I got a somewhat...sorrrrryyyy from Frank. I am disgusted at the handling of this situation..and how I was treated. In todays world, you can go to any dealer, website, craigslist to buy anything...My mistake was thinking this dealership was reputable. I would never ever even go there again, and will even discourage my friend who somewhat recently even bought a Porsche from them to even go back. I am furious.. More
