Let's just say I will not buy another Acura from here! I bought a 2011 Acura MDX on June 29th. When I went on June 29th, I had to wait two hours before I could sign my papers because I arrived early, really! I test drove it on June 19th and made a deal that I thought was good, but after they added some things to it turned out not to be. This Acura was traded in at Leith Audi, a sister store to Leith Acura, I don’t think they had had it a week when I inquired about it. My initial inquiry was on a 2010, but when we went to test drive that one it had a HORRIBLE odor that the salesman could not smell. The leather on the console was buckling and I asked for that to be fixed of course they would but it would cost me $200.00, so I went along with it and they added to the purchase price. In retrospect I should not have let that be added, but you live and learn so they say. This car had over 100,000 miles and I was worried about the timing belt. There was nothing on the Carfax that showed it had been changed. So when I asked about it, sure they would be glad to change it if I paid half of it $700.00. Well, that $700 was added as part of the sale price, WHY?, but it should not have been. It should have been two separate transactions. All of these occurred from the time I test drove it until I finally purchased it on June 29th. On July 3rd, I went to crank my car and it would not crank. The battery was dead, luckily I was able to get it an Advance Auto store, where the battery was not even registering 5 volts. I got the battery replaced and in talking with the dealership (Leith Acura, Cary, NC) they agreed to pay me for the battery. I was concerned that this vehicle had not been given a diagnostic after receiving it and asked that this be done. Yes, they would do it and it would not cost me. I scheduled an appointment for July 5, 2018, everything was working fine or so I thought. I went to put down the passenger window from the driver’s side on July 8th and the button no longer works. This worked prior to the battery being changed because I used it on June 30th to put down the window from the driver’s side. The passenger side door window button works from the passenger side door. This is the only button that does not work on the driver door. I called the dealership about this and there is nothing they can do for me even though three days prior they told me everything was fine. They did say it was probably just a wire that worked loose, REALLY! Next I go to the DMV to transfer my plates and am told I owe $525.00. My understanding was that was included in my sale price. I then again contact the dealer and I am told no that was on me since I bought it out of state. I was not told this at any time during the process. I knew I was transferring the tag but I thought the price of the taxes had been included. It’s sad that I not only had to pay $200 to fix the console but $700 for half of a timing belt that should have been changed prior to putting it up for sale along with the console, now I have to pay another $525 for taxes that I thought were included. I did not finance this vehicle and brought the dealership cash money. It is just a shame that they took advantage of a female!!!!! More

Some back and forth with negotiating final price (as to be expected), but at the end of the day, satisfied with the final deal and trade in value. More
