What should have been an exciting vehicle-buying experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing one. Not once, but twice. We inquired about a truck on a Friday morning, completed the cred experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing one. Not once, but twice. We inquired about a truck on a Friday morning, completed the credit application by noon, and were told by our salesperson at 3:30 p.m. that the truck had been moved to the sold lot and was ready for us. However, when we arrived, the dealership could not locate either the keys or the truck and informed us it had apparently been sold shortly before we got there. To his credit, our salesperson was sincere, apologized, provided us with gas money for the wasted trip, and promised to find a comparable truck within two weeks since our credit had already been run. We appreciated the effort and trusted the dealership to make things right. We don’t typically complain because life happens and at the end of the day, he said he’d figure things out. Unfortunately, the follow-through didn’t really happen. Over the next month, nearly all communication was initiated by us. We were repeatedly told a replacement truck had been found and would be transported to us, only for the timeline to be pushed back week after week. We would call to check in and never receive calls back etc. When we called for an update today, we were told the truck that had supposedly been secured was now in another state on the opposite side of the country…. A month later from the start of all this, we still do not have a vehicle, our credit was run, and the promised resolution never materialized. While mistakes and miscommunication can happen, the lack of follow-through and proactive communication was extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Lenz to anyone looking to feel valued as a customer. More
