First I want to To Whom It May Concern 5/6/2012 I would like to take this time to commend Lester Glenn Hyundai dealership in Tomes River. First I want to start off by saying that I have two other Hyundai dealerships that are closer to me then Lester Glenn. After doing some research and phone calls to various Hyundai dealerships in my immediate area the greeting and positive response I received when I called Lester Glenn was warm and welcoming. I briefly explained my situation and was told to come in and speak with one of the Sales Consultants, if they are able to help they will. After work I drove down to Toms River and when walking into the dealership I had the overwhelming feeling of warmth and friendliness from everyone. I then had the pleasure to meet Vincent Lorenzo Sales Consultant. I explained my personal and financial position and told him that I didn’t want to waist his time if I was unable to pay off my current car loan and get into a new car. He reassured me that if something could be done they would do it. After careful research Vincent found a Hyundai Accent that fit my monthly budget and accomplish what I needed to. Vincent was very patient and explained everything about the car and my next steps which was meeting with Mike D’Amelio, Business Manger . Dealing with Mike was so easy going, he explained all the terms of my new loan as well as all various warranties and programs that Hyundai had to offer. He took the time to explain each thing and the importance of each one. Without any pressure we were able to choose the options that best fit my saturation. Taking the car home that night and leaving at 10:30 PM. I was not comfortable with how the car drove and handled. I drove the car to work the next day and called Vincent and explained that I wasn’t really happy and all he told me is not to worry that he would work on things. Before the end of my work day I received a call from Vincent telling me that he and Joe Arioso General Sales Manger were able to get me into another Accent by that night. All they were concerned about was that I has happy. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated all of their patients and how comfortable they made me feel. I truly believe the entire work force at Lester Glenn are amazing. On Saturday night I was with several friends and explained my story and showed off my new car. Several of them are very interested in the new Hyundai’s and they will now be visiting Lester Glenn for their future purchases. My gratitude and recommendation will always continue in the future. After seeing the high ratings Lester Glenn Hyundai received at Dealer Rater, we went to their website and found the car we were looking for. I had a few questions that Tim on Live Chat answered for m received at Dealer Rater, we went to their website and found the car we were looking for. I had a few questions that Tim on Live Chat answered for me, then Talia followed up via phone and email. Since we live in Brooklyn, NY (70 miles away from Toms River) we decided to try local dealers before making the trip to NJ with terrible luck. We called Lester Glenn back yesterday to follow up on the car we'd discussed at 3:15; by 3:30 we were out the door with a promise from Ron Garguilo of a great price on a better car than the local dealer had. When we arrived at Lester Glenn, Mike Erli took us right in and started the paperwork. Ron joined us to show us the invoice and bring us coffee and water. When a mistake on my credit report meant I would not be eligible for one of the rebates (from the Hyundai corporation) included in our quote, Ron went to Blaise Scibetta and they offered to absorb the cost at the dealer level so we didn't pay anything more than we were quoted over the phone. Mike Cagnano in the finance office even printed up my credit information so I can go to the creditor to have the mistake removed. I drove off the lot with my beautiful new Hyundai Accent and could not have had a better experience. In the 90 minutes we were there,at least 7 new cars were bought and when we left at 6pm (supposedly closing time) there were 4 or 5 more buyers in the process of buying. We will be back next year for another new Hyundai and I really cannot say how well worth the trip (and gas and tolls!) it was to come to Toms River and visit Lester Glenn Hyundai. What a great car-buying experience! More
My last new car was less then three years old and I hated it from the beginning. This time when I bought a car I was determined not to be talked into something I did not want. I called Lester Glen and spok it from the beginning. This time when I bought a car I was determined not to be talked into something I did not want. I called Lester Glen and spoke with Sam Fowler who answered all my questions on the car I was considering. The next day I went there and had a test ride in the car I wanted, all went well. The next step was finally picking the color of the car. After I had picked the color Sam found out that there were no cars in the model and color I wanted. He did not try to talk me into something I didn't want. He spoke with the sales manager about what I wanted. Between the two of them they were able to find the model and color of the car I wanted. The next day they called me to tell me they had the car. I was excited to get my car. Paperwork was handled quickly and efficiently. I have to say the whole experience went well. Thanks to Sam and Ron I am the owner of a new Sonata. I would definately recommend the dealership and especially Sam Fowler. More

At this particular time in my life, I was not expecting to purchase a new car. Based on my mechanic's recommendations and opinions regarding my older car, I knew this was the way I had to go. I have always heard wonderful comments about Lester Glenn in Toms River, and I have had my eye on a Sonata. I filled out an on-line preapproval form and was contacted immediately by an employee of Lester Glenn (Talia), who was very nice to me. I explained my situation to her, and she encouraged me to come in the next day for an appointment. My mom accompanied me, and we were greeted very warmly as soon as we walked in. I was immediately impressed by this and did not feel any pressure from anyone. It was at this point my mom and I were introduced to Salesman Frank Acquaviva. He was the best salesman I have ever encountered in any place of business and is a very caring and knowledgeable person. He listened to all of my questions and concerns and worked with my preferences. I never once felt like I was being haggled or pressured. He showed me many cars and models to work within my budget. I was able to test-drive a Sonata to get a feel of how it ran. Mr. Acquaviva gave me the option of leasing or purchasing and dsicussed the pros and cons of both. After I decided to go with the leasing option, I was directed to meet with Mike Damelio who was also very friendly and knowledgeable. He discussed all of the programs affiliated with leasing. Again, I did not feel any pressure, which I really appreciated. I did wind up signing up for one of the programs. My mom and I calculated that we were at the dealership for over four hours, but it did not seem that long because we were enjoying our time there. By the time we left, we felt like family. I now understand why Lester Glenn has such a fabulous reputation, and I am very thankful for them. I love my vehicle and will recommend it to everyone!! More
The honeymoon is over. I have previously raved about this dealership when I leased a 2012 Genisis on 3/28. Now, I would NOT lease or buy a car from this dealership. BTW, this dealership via is sales persons dealership when I leased a 2012 Genisis on 3/28. Now, I would NOT lease or buy a car from this dealership. BTW, this dealership via is sales persons pleads for cutomers to give them a five star rating or their commission will be reduced. My reasons for NOT recommending the dealer are set forth below. Upon leasing the car, I was charged $350 dollars for MV fees. I was told that a 3 yr plate was required. I told the folks at Lester Glenn that Florida does not issue a three year plate in Florida, where I was registering the car. Further, the plate is in the name of the leasee and not Hyundai Motor Finance, the lessor, Lester Glenn stated that Hyundai Motor Finace MUST be named on the plate. Finally, after contacting Florida MV, I was told to transfer my existing Floirda plates as this was the cheapest way to go. Whuile i never received my refund until mid-June 21012, I leased the car in April. First, I received an email from my salesmen that my refund was $222.40 and that a check was cut. I never reeived anything. In June, I received a check for 415.50 for refund of MV fees AND a refund of excess state taxes. The excess sales tax was new. No itemization was provided so I contacted LesterGlenn, requestug an itemization of the sales tax refund issue which was new or whether there was an error. I called and emailed my salesman in this regard. I received no response and finally deposited the refund check. The bank than notified me that LesterGlenn had stopped payment on the check and I was charged a bounced check fee. This action caused me great embarrassment in the Florida bank where I reside. 1. LesterGlenn misrepresented the charge for motor vehicle fees by charging me in excess of $100 for a third party agent on the $83.00 motor vehicle transfer. I was specifically told my salemen and one of the sales managers that I would only be charged for actual MV fees. 2. While I notified LesterGlenn BY PHONE AND EMAIL, as to whether the $415.50 was correctb as it raised a new issue as to a tax refund, asking if the $415.50 refund waw correct, LesterGlenn rather than them calling me or emailing me, thought it best to stop the check. hey never called or notified of this action and Ifound out iafter rcivng a call from my Florida bank. The actions of LesterGlenn clearly demonstrates a lack of trust between LesterGlenn and me, a customer who not only leased an expensive car from LesterGlenn but, further, brought in a customer who also leased the same model. This lack of trust on their part warrants my lack of trust of LesterGlenn and its sales manager Frank Simeone. I was given the typical, "once in awhile we make a mistake and seek to correct it promptly." My final refund from LesterGlenn was $159 dollars and change. This amount is fr less thanwhat I was told previously via email. Bottom line, the refund should NOT have taken 3 months from a dealer that allegedly sells in excess of 500 cars/month. While I was told by Frank Simeone, several weeks ago, that a refund of the bank's bounced check fee would be forwarded, I have NEVER received any refund of theb bounced check fee. I was registering the car in Florida, not Afganhistan, and this registration should have been routine. In this regard, I have leased cars from other NJ dealers and registered it in Florida. The refund and registration was prompt and there was no charge for an agent's fee. 3. I spent much time instructing LesterGlenn on Floria MV fees and regulations. There actions clearly demonstrate an ineptitude on the part of LesterGlenn. Their lack of response and stopping payment on a check- after I inquired as to whether there was a mistake - evidences how LesterGlenn really feels about their customers - despite all their sales b.s. At this point, I do NOT trust them and suggest that others, keep alert so as to not be snookered. The charge of $100 plus for an agent's fee is not what I was told by their sales rep. This charge and the stop payment action will result in my NEVER buying or leasing a Hyundai again from LesterGleen. Further, neither will my family or friends do the same, if i have any thing to say about it. I have found a local dealer who will service my car and NOT send me back to where I bought or purchased it. Buyer beware when dealing with LesterGlenn. If not alert, they will charge you a glass etch fee of about $200 bucks. This after you negitiate your deal and wait for a guy to print out the papers. BTW, this process in my experience exceeds the time spent with the salesmen. Further, their lease, buy or finance crew prints off forms from a computer and can not explain the details of the lease as to how each line is determied. Get anything that it said to you in writing and further get any representation signed by the general sales mananger. The misreprentation about agent's fees is a minor matter. The stop payment action is NOT what is done when dealing with a customer who notifies you of a possible error or asks for an itemization of fees. I hope the above warns future customers of what may be in store for them when dealing with this dealership. I have notified Hyundai Motor Finance of this matter. More
Sam Fowler and Jay Greenberg were excellent in locating the vehicle I wanted and at the price I was willing to pay. There was no hard sell, they simply listened to what I said and found the exact vehicle the vehicle I wanted and at the price I was willing to pay. I went into the dealership today with no specific car in mind. I am not very knowledgeable about cars and today I bought my very first! Once I finally made my decision, Brian sat down with me and showed me how to work with and be comfortable in the car once I took it out on the road on my own. Overall, it was a great first car buying experience, and I honestly would go back to Brian in the future to buy my second, third, fourth, and fifth cars. Everything about today was simple, not overwhelming, and exciting! And Mike Cagnano was also very helpful when we got to the finance portion of the day. I have absolutely NO complaints. Thank you Lester Glenn Hyundai for hiring employees like Brian Showers and Mike Cagnano. You are truly lucky to have them. I would refer Lester Glenn Hyundai to anyone and everyone. More
