Follow through was very slow. It seemed like everything they did had problems and many things were said that sounded reasonable but were actually wrong in the end. The package of papers that was sent to be notarized had blank pages that I would not sign and other papers that I had questions on. The notary came at 6:00 pm on a weeknight and there was no manager that was there to help. What should have taken a couple days took a couple weeks. I live out of state and the dealership was near my brothers house so he went and saw the car and took it for a test drive. If it was not for that fact, I would not have gone through with purchasing the car. I also dealt with one manager who started insulting me and told me I had nothing better to do than to just sit on my couch and wait. I blew up on him. He discovered that his stereotypical assumptions were wrong. He did apologize later but he did initiate a very heated conversation. The salesman needs a bit more language skills and a lot more training. He was very nice but told me what he wanted to be true which wasn’t always the case. He did check in every few days to see if the manager had followed through and would try to get things moving. All in all, it was a horrible experience and I would never recommend anyone to use this dealership. I did finally get my car and I am very happy with it. More
I have never had a worse experience with a dealership in my life and my 85 year old father was the victim. My father is a veteran of the Korean war and and first lieutenant. He flew a helicopter that was shot up so badly that aviators were forbidden to fly it. He flew this Huey into xxxx not once, not twice but 3 times to evacuate fallen and wounded American soldiers. He did this with the penalty of a court marshall hanging over his head. I took him to look at reliable vehicles and was there to protect him against wiley sales people. We dealt with Myke Tovar and I also had communication with Jessica Reynolds who was texting me about scheduling a test drive. I informed her that I was just leaving and was on my way to the dealership. She again asked me to schedule an appointment time. I informed her that I was not going to schedule a time because I rarely know my schedule in advance but I was on my way there. To my amazement, she sent me another text asking me to schedule. I responded by asking her if she was reading and understanding my responses. I asked for a member of management to contact me because I was becoming frustrated. She texted me back and said that she would have a team member contact me. This was not what I asked her for. I'm not sure how I could have made it any clearer. One of the managers came to talk to us when we arrived. Carl apologized and told us that some of his people that were there to correspond with customers were not the sharpest tools in the shed and that he had received several complaints about them. I informed him that those people were the face of the company to a customer regardless of their rank within the dealership.This was not a good way to start a relationship. My goal was to escort my dad to look at several different vehicles at several different dealers. We drove the vehicle and got back to the dealership. Things were okay at this point although we had a feeling that we were more of a nuisance than a valued customer. We left to look at a similar vehicle and after looking my dad wanted me to take him back to Lexus of Sarasota. I knew that he was interested in the vehicle there but also knew that the pricing was too high based on similar vehicles in the market. I asked Myke what they could do for us on a purchase and of course he gave us the same old gas that they are pricing vehicles way below market value where they have no where to go. He said that he would put it to paper though if we would come inside. We went inside and I was dumbfounded when he came back with the same price as the as with a heafty $1,800 dealer fee (Pure profit) and $400 DOC fee. I have to abbreviate my experience for lack of room. We got up to leave and a man named Shoun came out to offer us a $500 discount. I talked my dad into getting up to leave when he shocked me by asking what they could do on a trade-in for the vehicle that he had purchased for my mom just 2 months ago. They offered him only half of what he paid and it was less than even trade in value. They rolled the remaining $8,000 into the new vehicle financing which puts him extremely upside down and he ended up paying more than the sticker price of the car just 3 years ago. Myke and Shoun knew that I wasn't okay with this and that I wanted to leave but my dad had fallen into the trap without having any time to step back and think. The dealer was more than happy to take thousands of dollars in down payment and take possession of his new vehicle that he just purchased 2 months ago. I'm eaten up with guilt over this transaction and the dealer should have done the right thing by backing off knowing that I was pleading with my dad not to do this. He didn't even get floor mats for a vehicle he paid over $10,000 too much for. Find a reputable dealer to buy from. They burried my 85 year old dad and war hero in a contract for 75 months that he cannot afford and will steal his ability to enjoy the rest of his life because he is a slave to a car payment. More

Purchasing two vehicles at Sarasota Lexus was a breeze in comparison to all other dealerships. My wife and I are new to the area and both needed a vehicle. We were treated like a member of the family on our first visit by Noah, Dean, Chris, Daryl and Sara just to name a few. Our salesperson Noah is a class act along with professionalism and knowledge that is hard to match. They had us in two vehicles tagged & insured within a couple hours driving off the lot with awesome dinner recommendations to celebrate. They have definitely gained customers for life.
