Mr. Alston, I received your complaint via Dealer Rater and the BBB of NY. I am sorry for your frustration in dealing with our Dealership. I am the person who wholesaled the vehicle that you put a deposit on. It was not my intention to sell the vehicle out form under you. Two weeks ago I released my Pre-owned Manager from his job. As I began to look at some of the inventory we were carrying I realized that some of it needed to be wholesaled and NOT retailed for a varity of reasons. I am sure your are suspect to what I am telling you, and your right I could have made more money selling it to you then a wholesaler, however we are confident that we did the right thing in the long run. If the vehicle that you put a deposit on arrived to you in Milwaukee I feel you would have been disappointed. I also want to apologize for not informing you in a more timely fashion, there is no excuse for not getting back to someone quickly. You stated that we are legally obligated to sell you the car, however morally I did not feel comfortable in doing so. I hope my brief explanation makes you feel a bit more comfortable about not getting this vehicle. I wish you the best in your search for the right LS 460. Apologies are far too late. I have never dealt with a Lexus dealership that shows such lack of respect for a customer. I have read other reviews since dealing with you all and I see that I am not the first customer disgusted with the quality of service provided. There will be no need for me to call you because I will not ever do any business with your dealer and strongly discourage others not to as well. I will also continue to do research on the ins and out of how and when a dealer can place a used car on the market. From my understanding an inspection is to be done prior to the car being put up for sale. I also kept the VIN # and will be making sure your reasoning for not selling me the car checks out. You can not just treat customers like this without expecting any type of repercussions.

Mr. Alston, I agree with you, my apology is far too late. You are also correct in stating that we have had some service and quality issues. Even though our service to you was lousy, I did not want to compound that by sending you a bad vehicle. I know that you will not be doing business with us and accept your well deserved criticism of us. Reviews like yours have allowed me to see a major problem that I have in my pre-owned department. I realized my experience may be a one off in a situation where your sales team were pressured to make a sale. But I really think there is room for improvement in your incentives to your sales people. I was rushed because it was nearing end of the month and was really pressured to give money when I can't even see the car. I already revised my review to show just facts. But I do STRONGLY suggest you guys providing carfax reports in addition to your autocheck reports. Ignorance of collisions is just unacceptable. I have purchased my RX400h at another dealer that did not pressure me at all and made me feel valued. I gladly paid more for their honesty. Maybe you guys need to have a different approach in training the sales team. I hope you take this as constructive criticism and an opportunity to improve. Thanks for getting back to me!
