I responded to Lexus of Edison's online website to value my trade-in. I gave information concerning my vehicle's year, make , mileage and condition. I was furnished an appraisal range of $24,950 to $27,900. There is no question that my vehicle meets the criteria placing it in this bracket, ie : extremely low mileage, condition and description. I phoned the Internet salesperson, Mr. Chris Young and asked if this appraisal is reliable, of course pending their appraiser's inspection. He assured me that it is and I could expect the higher amount if my car is in excellent condition. When the appraiser came back with $21,000 , I asked for an explanation. Mr. Young told me that a new set of tires would cost $1000 and a small scratch on the underside of the front bumper would cost $400 to repaint. I asked if they expected that a 4 year old car with 16,500 miles would have brand new tires or is it reasonable to have normal tread for this mileage. I was handed off to a manager who could give no reasonable explanation for my question or why they deducted over $6000 for, by their own appraisal adds up to $1400. I was again handed off to the next level manager who told me that a newer car than mine is selling for less than the amount than I expected (from their appraisal). Why then did they bait me with this figure? He also said that vehicles change in value (their appraisal was printed out on their computer while I was there). I find that this is an extremely dishonest and unethical practice. More

Let me start by saying that we bought not one, but two cars from the same dealer and same sales person (Dale Johnson) and this in itself says a great deal about the very friendly, professional and easy to cars from the same dealer and same sales person (Dale Johnson) and this in itself says a great deal about the very friendly, professional and easy to deal with staff of Lexus of Edison! We shopped around a lot and that was the only place were we felt that we were getting great service and value. I purchased my Lexus IS250 from Lexus of Edison a year and half ago. Everytime I go to Lexus of Edison they provide me with excellent service. I have visited other lexus dealerships in New york, by far the service that Lexus of Edison provides its customers is ALWAYS TOP OF THE LINE. Mr. Wayne Gross is always very profesniol to all his customers from my observations while visiting the dealership. Mr. Gross as always taken the time to address all my concerns with my vehicle. When he isn"t available he makes sure to brief another team member to make sure all my concerns are taken care off. I live in NY and travel over an hour to Lexus of Edison because the service is ALWAYS TOP OF THE LINE. The dealship is always very clean and they also provide you with coffee or refreshments and something eat if you are hunrgy. If you have along wait they go out of there way to make you feel welcome by offering to drop you off at the local mall if that will help make your wait better. They also will pick you up. What I love the most about this dealership is you can tell they treat ALL there customers like there #1 customer. This is very impressive, Im in Retail sales my self, I work for a Major Bank so I know service and trust me when I tell if you want a Lexus make the trip to Lexus of Edison YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!
