Every time the salesperson or sales manager called my cell, it was a different phone number and they were not easy to contact. Car was not prepped when we had an appointment to pick up. Shipping adhesives were left on the exterior and interior of the car (leading me to believe it was not washed or prepped. Car had an empty tank of gas when we expected to take the car home. Finance was disorganized, my insurance company was told the lienholder would be Lexus Financial, when in fact Chase was used. The salesperson started to put old license plates on the new car, when I wasn't asked about my preference for registration. In the interest of time (we both had to return to work)--we were unable to get the full run through of the car from sales before we left. More
Purchased a used GX470. When I took the car for a test drive it was VERY dirty inside and out. John said it had been in the rain, explaining the outside. This didn't explain the inside. I would have thought that all the crumbs and garbage would have been taken care of before showing to perspective clients. It also made me wonder if the car actually went through the multi-point safety inspection that John said every used car had to go through. Enough of that. John & the sales manager negotiated a decent price for the car that I was OK with. When I picked up the car later that day, the outside looked clean and somewhat polished. The inside had a fresh vacuum and wipe down but it was obvious that they didn't spend a lot of time doing it. Something I was surprised at considering what John told me the cost was to 'get it ready'. Certainly I would have thought that they would have used an extractor or something to remove many of the carpet stains .. they didn't. Sorry for the long rambling on car condition... Bottom line is that the car was in overall excellent condition, mechanically and asthetically (less being clean). Would I go back to Lexus of Orange County .. YES. But next time I would insist on a better prep job prior to taking delivery. PS - Don't expect to get out of their quickly when buying a car. It took forever... More
