Great experience all around We made the trip out to Liberty Subaru from Brooklyn after having them recommended to us by multiple people. Dave Finkel was friendly and helpful and incredibly easy to deal with. The entire buying experience was so much simpler than we'd expected, and after being unsure at the end of our trip, Dave let us finish everything else up over email and phone; a nice convenience considering we live an hour-plus away from the dealership. When it came time for us to deal with the financing piece on the day we took delivery of the car, we worked with Nikki. Everyone dreads the Finance people at car dealers, but Nikki was great too. All told, we were in and out on delivery day in around 45 minutes! We can't recommend Liberty enough! More

Pleased First-Time Subaru Buyers We have never owned a Subaru before, but we were interested in a small SUV. Given the high ratings of the Forester in Consumer Reports, along with de We have never owned a Subaru before, but we were interested in a small SUV. Given the high ratings of the Forester in Consumer Reports, along with dealer price comparisons on Cars.com, we decided to start our search at Liberty Subaru. Mike Gallo greeted us right after we entered the dealership, letting us know that he would join us shortly and encouraging us to sit inside the Forester and several other vehicles in the showroom. He joined us about five minutes later, determined our interests, and showed us both the Crosstrek (a second possibility) and the Forester. We quickly determined that the Crosstrek was too small for us, so we took a test drive with Mike in the Forester. We liked the Forester from the outset. It drives smoothly, is not too complex for senior citizens, and provides excellent road and side visibility. We had a relaxed chat with Mike as we drove along. He filled us in about various features of the car and was totally honest about what it would not do. We felt very comfortable working with him. That sense of comfort was enhanced when we sat down to talk about a possible purchase. He offered a price that was well below the sticker price and gave us a decent trade-in offer on our 2005 Toyota Camry. We had not necessarily expected to make an offer on the spot and had planned to shop around. However, it was clear that we were getting a reasonable deal on an excellent car, so we put down our $500 deposit on a Memorial Day afternoon. The car was ready for us on Tuesday. Mike and Nikki made the title and license transfers easy. When we picked up the car, Mike spent about 1/2 hour in the vehicle with us going over many of its operating features. We really appreciated this detailed orientation. All in all, we were treated fairly, respectfully and without pressure to add "extras" that would drive up the purchase cost. Although we have no experience yet with their service department, we noted that both the showroom and the service area are extremely clean and modern. The showroom even had touch-screen displays to occupy children while their parents shopped. They have two rest areas for customers awaiting service. One is quiet and the other has a TV. Nice. The restrooms were also very clean. We were very pleased to work with Mike Gallo, and we were favorably impressed by the dealership. It was the smoothest buying experience we've ever had. More

A very easy car buying experience I had leased an Outback from Tom at Liberty 3 years ago and now my lease was up I had no hesitation going back to Tom - this time to buy an Outback. I I had leased an Outback from Tom at Liberty 3 years ago and now my lease was up I had no hesitation going back to Tom - this time to buy an Outback. I knew what I wanted and Tom made sure I got wanted exactly and a great price. he kept me informed on the progress of the car from the factory to the dealership. On the pick up day Tom spent alot of time going through the new features. I highly recommend Tom to any prospective buyer. More

The other dealers i visited had no clear idea on how the remote start are equipped. Until i stepped into Liberty Subaru and talked to Dan who immediately mentioned that the remote start could be a dealer-installed option. The negotiation was straight forward and all numbers are on the paper. (I am not an aggressive negotiator though.). Before the negotiation, Dan clearly stated that the car is in parking lot but not available due to the shortage of parts to fix the recalled steering columns. In the following week, I sent several emails for update, and Dan promptly replied. On the day to pick up the car, Dan showed me the features of the car and explained in details the function of every button. Highly recommend. More
