I needed a new car. So I did the research on the car I wanted online. My research took me to Liccardi Ford. They had the model that I wanted in stock. I arrived at the dealership at about 3:30 in t wanted online. My research took me to Liccardi Ford. They had the model that I wanted in stock. I arrived at the dealership at about 3:30 in the evening on New Years Eve. I told the salesman that I had to be out the door by 5:30 at the absolute latest. I was able to trade in my old BMW (getting the price I wanted) AND get the paperwork done on the new car (while getting the price I wanted) in under 2 hours. Now, in order to get it all done in the allotted time, we had to skip some of the optional paperwork (like setting up the Bluetooth and things like that). But, the salesman promised that we could do all that at a later time. The entire experience was great. Everyone with whom I dealt worked hard to get me the deal I wanted and make sure I made it to my event that evening. Fast forward 2 months. I realized that I forgot to submit my mother in law for the referral bonus. She had directed me to liccardi indicating that she had a good buying experience. So I call up the dealership hoping to get the referral bonus, even though it wasn't done at the time of purchase. The dealership made good on their promise to me to allow me to delay paperwork. My purchase at Liccardi was a great experience. And they even went above and beyond with the referral bonus. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend Liccardi. More
Bought a used, semi-low mileage 2001 Escape "as-is" and was told the car was running perfectly and in great condition. I was even supplied with a Carfax report to prove it. "It's never even had "as-is" and was told the car was running perfectly and in great condition. I was even supplied with a Carfax report to prove it. "It's never even had or needed any tune ups", a quote by the dealer that I'm now seeing may have had some cryptic message behind it. Not even one hour after driving the car off the lot and the check engine light came on and the vehicle was misfiring. The vehicle needed a new coil package in the third cylinder, all new spark plugs, and a new intake manifold, a combination of repairs costing more than $400...all within less than two days of owning the car!!!! I HIGHLY doubt that this was the first time the check engine light came on for this problem, considering all you have to do is disconnect the battery and the light goes off from about 30 miles or so, just until you can get far enough away from the dealership that they can deny any knowledge of a problem. My mechanic has had first hand experience dealing with this dealership and, based on his dealings and recommendations, I will never be going to this dealership again, nor ever recommending it to anyone. I barely trust this place enough to put on my license plates. While I understand the "as-is" status when buying a used vehicle, I would like to assume that when I go to a dealership, I would receive some level of honesty about a huge investment I'm about to be making. I feel pretty offended that a car might have been purposefully sold with something wrong with it without the dealership disclosing the nature of the repairs that needed to be made. The word "unethical" barely scratches the surface of what this dealership is about. Make sure you check in with the Better Business Bureau before you head out to this dealership...there's a list of 13, soon to be 14 consumer complaints against them in the past three years. Fact. Overall time to complete purchase transaction was extensive with poor communications as to reasoning. No one gave us their business card for future reference. Info that was to be faxed to our insu extensive with poor communications as to reasoning. No one gave us their business card for future reference. Info that was to be faxed to our insurance agent for insurance was not done until a second request was made. Requested salesperson to advise us when a cargo mat was available. Did not get call from him. Had to call Service/parts department to find info out ourself. Sales person never mentioned the 3yr service info. Overall experience was stressful. More
I brought my 2011 Explorer to Liccardi Ford because I received a letter from Ford to have a couple things looked at ("Customer Satisfaction Program" AKA Recalls). When I called for an appointment, David received a letter from Ford to have a couple things looked at ("Customer Satisfaction Program" AKA Recalls). When I called for an appointment, David answered the phone. He was very pleasant and extremely helpful in explaining what the letters were all about. He set me up with an appointment that was convenient for me and set me up with a loaner vehicle so I can get to work while the service was being performed. On the day of my appointment, David greeted me with the same friendly demeanor and I was in and out and on my way to work in no time at all! He had my paperwork and the loaner ready and waiting. He called me early afternoon to let me know that my car was ready and that I can come in by 5 to return the car to him or 8 and return the car to the cashier. This was such a wonderful option! I didn't feel that I had to rush to leave work just to be sure that I'm to the dealer on time to return the car. Dealing with Liccardi Service was a breath of fresh air ... all dealerships should take tips from this one - especially from David! Thanks Liccardi and David in the Service area! I will be back as you are now my dealership of choice for service of my Explorer AND will be for my F150 as well! More
I have purchased 3 vehicles from Liccardi Ford. Two in the past 10 months. They offered a great price on both recent transactions. So that cut down the time of the whole sale. Never, ever buy a used car as is from this dealer "as is". We were verbally promised that anything wrong w/the car we were purchasing would be fixed once looked at by our mechanic, as a condition of "as is". We were verbally promised that anything wrong w/the car we were purchasing would be fixed once looked at by our mechanic, as a condition of purchasing it "as is." This was untrue. We could not get a factory warranty because of the miles on the car we were told. Once they had our signature, they did not fulfil their verbal promise to fix a brake issue. They went back to the "as is" and said that our signature was the commitment, not their verbal assurance to fix anything a certified mechanic found as an issue. We are not mechanics, and feel we were definitely taken advantage of. We are very disappointed with their decision to not uphold their commitment to make the repair that we even told them about (indicator light came on when driving off the lot), and will not be a repeat customer.
