oil light issue I was driving back from Chico and my oil light came on. I was not due for an oil change yet so I became very concerned. I stopped and added about a 1/4 of a quart of oil. I went on line when I got home an made an appointment to have my car serviced. When I arrived at Fresno Subaru I nicely greeted by a service tech I explained what happened, then I was greeted by another service tech and had to retell my situation, that service tech took his time explaining to me that its an issue with the type of oil my car takes that it is very thin and the service light will come on if the oil level goes below a certain level. He said Subaru company is aware of the issue and he stated if the light continues to come on they can do a "oil consumption" test. I was then put as ease once he explained things to me in a way I could understand. I truly appreciated that. More

The service manager assesed my problem and fixed the car. I live 40 min. from the nearest Subaru and roadside assistance came to the rescue and picked up my vehicle. It was stresssful for me as I did not know what was wrong with the vehicle. . My battery died but I had not left any lights on . . As it turned out my battery was scracked and leaking battery acid.
