We can understand your frustration, but this is more a case where there was a bit of confusion with our internal communication. There are clearly great benefits to being a high-volume dealer, not the least of which are a tremendous selection of inventory and very aggressive pricing. One of the minor drawbacks is the fact that we do get very busy and there are occasions where the same vehicle is being shopped by a number of customers with the involvement of several different salespeople. That was the case in your situation and we do apologize for the mix up. One thing we can very assertively state is that we most definitely do not employ bait and switch tactics. The fact that the listing for the truck was still on our web page has more to do with the speed in which it is reported sold, as it can take a day or two to allow for it to be removed from our site.

We haven’t been able to track down the salesperson by the information provided here, but as told, Vicki, we certainly owe you and your husband an apology. We tend to be a very busy store, but we try our best to communicate with our customers on issues such as this, particularly when they are traveling a good distance. Our inventory can move very fast and the reality is that many people who come in to see a specific vehicle end up purchasing a different one entirely. We say that only to demonstrate the need on our end to not restrict the availability of any one vehicle. But the lack of communication to you is something we take full responsibility for.
