Thank you for your comments. I can appreciate your concern about the AC not properly cooling off quickly enough in the severe heat we had in Texas this summer. It obviously takes time for the super-heated air in the cabin to cool off and the AC of course works most efficiently at highway speeds. Another variable is to ensure you have outside air shut off so you are recirculating cabin air. This can be an easy miss for someone in a vehicle they are not 100% familiar with. Having said that, I spent a few minutes with the service director looking at the notes on your vehicle. During the service department’s inspection of the vehicle there was no deficiency in the AC noted. If there is no deficiency that means the technician does not have an opportunity to repair something which of course is how they are paid. When there is a leak in the AC system oil will accumulate as it leaks out. Looking at your vehicle when your brought it in to the service drive the oil residue was clean, not caked with dirt indicating the hole was recent. Coincidentally another service advisor had a customer with a Camry on the same day with the very same issue of a hole in the condenser from a road strike. We assisted them in filing a claim with the insurance company. I learned one of our service staff likewise offered you assistance in getting a claim filed but you opted not file a claim. I am sure you would agree no business could or should be held accountable for damage to a product as a result of its usage.
