Bought a Subaru at a Honda dealership I have owned many Honda (3 to be exact, my latest a 2005 Pilot) which I bought new & is still running. Any event, I wanted an AWD car for my son, a se I have owned many Honda (3 to be exact, my latest a 2005 Pilot) which I bought new & is still running. Any event, I wanted an AWD car for my son, a senior in college. Wanted something reliable and safe and after much research, settled on a Subaru, Crosstrek to be specific. Looked at CarGuru, Carvanna, many Subaru dealerships and could not find the price/value I was looking for. Then I found Lundgren Honda and they were offering a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek at a very ver fair price. I called and scheduled a test drive with my son. At that point I met Garrett Stcyr, the gentleman I worked with in purchasing the car. The car was in immaculate condition when we first test drove it. Garrett let us take it out on our own and we drove around for 30 minutes. My son loved the car as did I. The main reason I am writing this review is because of the pleasure it was to work with Garrett. He followed up on any questions or concerns I had with the vehicle. I questioned whether the fact that I was buying a Subaru and not a Honda from a Honda dealer would affect the customer care I would receive. I am very happy to say my son and I got great service from Lundgren Honda and Garret in particular. When we picked up the car, there were some stains on the upholstery I hadn't noticed. I told Garret and he gotit taken care of right away. I also noticed a rear headrest was missing. Garret promise me he would get it taken care of and over a period of 4 or 5 weeks he called and gave me updates on the head rest search until he ordered us a new one as a used a matching used head rest could not be found. We had already paid for the car at this point, 5 weeks earlier and he still followed up just as he promised. In the near future when I am purchasing a new vehicle I will definitely consider Lundgren Honda due to the great service Garret and his team provided my son and I. Everyone there was great to deal with and the car has been awesome. We really received a great deal and am very thankful. More
Special thanks to Frank Mazzeo and Jim Walgreen We bought a used 2012 CRV. It was high in mileage but in exceptional condition with no warranty. When we took it for a test drive, my daughter suspec We bought a used 2012 CRV. It was high in mileage but in exceptional condition with no warranty. When we took it for a test drive, my daughter suspected something with the rear brakes. Needed to say say the brakes went about a month later. Thanks to Frank Mazzeo and Jim Walgreen, they towed the car from Putnam, Ct. They fixed the brakes-calipers , pads and rotors and footed the bill. My daughter was so happy she cried. Other than that we feel it was a great deal. We can't say enough how much we appreciate what they did for us!!!!! I go there regularly for service on my 2011 CRV and I am always greeted with a happy and friendly face. The work is exceptional! More
Played Too Many Games There were 3 separate incidents within 48 hours where I found them trying to swing the deal heavily in their favor to where it was unfair. It's very unfortunate that I have to give a low Rating. We purchased our first Pilot from them, it was easy and no games. This time not so much. They had a used car on the lot we went to look at. 2017 HRV EX-L. It was listed at 20,900. When we looked closer it had been involved in 2 accidents one with structural damage. A brand new 2019 HRV goes for 25K. So that didn't make much sense to me. They told me the price was not negotiable. The next day the price online dropped by $1,200. There was no real explanation other than Used Cars Department handles it. Within a couple days we went back because they had a brand new 2018 HRV on the lot. I went in to look at it and they quoted me 25,900 when the 2019 new HRV was 25,500... Same model, just a year older. Makes no logical sense. The last straw was my trade in. The retail Value on the car was 12,500. I get when you trade in the need to make money. Their first offer was 7,000. Already below the KBB fair value. Then they told me they valued the car below the Good condition but Higher than fair... But felt it was okay to offer me a value below fair value. But then I was told repeatedly they don't play games and they have my best interest in mind. More
