Be Careful with Jayson If you're looking to buy a car from the typical, infamous salesman, Jaysons's your man. I recently purchased my first car from this dealership. My dad suggested this particular Lundgren because he has always worked with honest, straight-shooting staff for the past 25 years. Jayson, was anything but this. Two weeks before coming into the dealership, I had emailed him specifically what I was looking for. Every single car that he sent me did not meet my qualifications. While it was frustrating, I blamed it on human error and quickly dismissed it. My dad came with me to the dealership to prevent me from being ripped off as I am a young woman. However, he was confident that this would not happen. Once in the dealership, all of his confidence went out the window. The car that I was interested in needed some body repair work, and was originally priced to match the "outstanding condition" quote, according to Edmunds.com. When I asked for justification for the price of the vehicle, which was clearly not outstanding, he stated that he was "laid-back" and "fair" and would not negotiate price (as he literally crossed his legs, and put his hands behind his head). However, the $225 for a monthly payment was not the same $177 a month I researched using Lundgren's calculator on their website. After I asked twice more why these were such different numbers, he stated the $225 included taxes and fees. At this point, most decent salesman would have explained these numbers in detail. However, he merely rolled them off his tongue as quickly as he could. Another five minutes later, he scribbled these numbers on a paper without labeling each one, and forgot to add in the VSI fee. In between these short, meaningless interactions, he juggled another upset customer that later came up to my father and I to warn us to "Be careful with Jayson". At the end of this non-negotiation, I stated that I would only take the deal for $180 a month for 60 months; fair is fair. Jayson confirmed over the phone that he could do these numbers and would send written verification via email. Not so shockingly, the numbers did not match what he stated on the phone to me 10 minutes prior. After some more discussion, he honored my asking price and we set up a meeting to sign paperwork and trade in my vehicle. A day before the appointment, I called Lundgren to find out what to expect during that time as Jayson gave me no clear information via email when I had questions. Brian, the manager, told me that I would actually need to come in more than once to get the car as my appointment was too late in the day to process the information with my insurance. Jayson did not communicate any of this to me. Both my father and I had to rearrange our schedules last minute to get the same day service as I no longer live in the Auburn area. The day of signing, I asked to work with the manager as I did not anticipate things going smoothly with Jayson. Everyone that I worked with that day was very professional and well-spoken. While I could claim that my age and gender were the reasons for Jayson's inabilities, I strongly believe that he treats everyone with equality. I predict that he is equally dishonest and unfair to all of his clients. I am a very understanding person and gave him several chances to truly represent a place that my dad has enjoyed doing business with for the past 25 years. Maybe Jayson is the only salesman that believes that the customer merely represents the dollar. Or, maybe the dealership is becoming more "laid-back", and, fair does not mean what it used to. Talk about trying to take advantage of someone I bought a new Honda Civic from them back in May of this year. It then got rear-ended and totaled in July. Last week I went back to them to get anothe I bought a new Honda Civic from them back in May of this year. It then got rear-ended and totaled in July. Last week I went back to them to get another new vehicle without going to anyone else. I test drove a CRV and decided that I wanted to lease one. Their first offer to me was $449/month and when I was not interested in that they came back with $399/month. I actually contemplated that but decided to go home and think about it. Before leaving they were trying to pressure me into signing but thankfully I didn't. The next day I did some research and the price seemed high and when I asked for a complete breakdown of all the numbers I did not get that but they now came down to $373/month. I contacted Bernardi Honda and asked for a quote with the same exact terms and the exact same car. Their very first quote was $315/month. I leased my car from there and then I texted the salesperson to let him know I was all set and they tried to match it with $309/month. I think that is shameful and shady that a customer who just bought a car from there two months prior and was back because of horrible car accident was trying to be taken advantage of. That is a horrible way to treat a customer. More

Jon was fortunate enough to have been granted a "Cops for Kids with Cancer" scholarship this past spring. We had been shopping around, searching for several weeks to find Jon a used car with low mileage and in good physical condition. All of the vehicles we found were either out of our price range or had in excess of 100,000 miles on the odometer. Jonathan is a Leukemia patient at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, MA, and needs to travel from Plymouth NH down to Worcester, MA several times per month for Chemotherapy maintenance treatments, and was hoping to obtain a reliable vehicle to help him do this on his own. Russell was our Guardian Angel. He was able to match us with a beautiful used 2003 Toyota with only 51,000 miles, and in excellent condition! Thank you Russell Rhault from the bottom of our hearts for making this happen, and Thank you Lundgren Honda, for being instrumental in setting up the financial package to allow us to be able to do this for our son. Jayson was our salesman who made certain that the process of getting the vehicle went smoothly. We went over the details of the sale on Saturday and came back on the following Monday with a check to complete our commitment. The vehicle was cleaned inside and out and we drove out with an inspection sticker on the same day. In-between our departure, this dealership has a cafe with a cook who makes made-to-order sandwiches and breakfast. We had a complimentary lunch and sat in comfortable chairs with cellphone charging stations. Air conditioned comfort and a nice atmosphere. We were out and on the road in a very short time, thanks to our assistant, Jayson, who made the transfer process as efficient as he could by making phone calls to the registry and communicating with us if it would be helpful to followup with our Insurance agent. Very professional and personal service. I do not have a single criticism with our experience. We were very happy with the purchase and pleasantly surprised with the high degree of customer service that we were given. More

I stand by the relatively poor customer service I received from the sales associate and the business manager. Their engagement and handling of the sale could have been better. Their treatment of my wife and me could stand improvement. However, having dealt with another dealership in the area, I feel compelled to rectify parts of my review. I want to emphasize quite strongly that I was treated fairly, honestly, and overall positively. In addition, while I might have expected more from some of the staff, I now think their worst day is still a thousand times better than other dealerships' best days. I was never lied to, deceived, or misled. Everything they promised to do, they did. As I said, too, in my now-deleted review, their prices are excellent. And I must say, after purchasing my second car in two months at another dealership, that experience led me to revise this review and to wish that I had purchased again from Lundgren of Auburn. I know this review does not have the glowing enthusiasm of most reviews, but I don't think I fully appreciated all of the positives of my experience here until I encountered all of the negatives at other places. If you're looking to purchase a Honda, purchase it here. As someone who purchased the second car somewhere else, I wish I had gone back, and I regret that I didn't. More
