I wanted to share my Luther experience. My wife who has Myasthenia Gravis (Muscular Dystrophy Disease) has a bucket list and on that list was a red sports car. So, I started looking for a red sports car that I could afford. I found a 2003 SKL Mercedes with 63,000 miles. I took my wife to Luther Auto in Brooklyn Park on July 3rd we met with Sales Person Sam and we did a test drive and my wife loved the car. So, I met with Sales Manager Mei-Mei she was great and I wanted to trade in a 2004 Harley Davidson so we could not close the deal that day. So, I went back on July 5th and Mei-Mei was off so I had to finish the deal with Sales Manager Ashley the manager from xxxx. I introduced myself and explained what we started and I said I have a motorcycle to trade. She said, well we are not a motorcycle dealership and I will call the Harley Davidson and whatever price they will pay that is what you will get. I said, if you don’t buy another motorcycle they will only give a wholesale price (At this point she was so out of control I said, let’s start over. My name is Andy) I want to discuss the price on the car. Sales Manager Ashley explained the Luther pricing she said the owner believes that each car gets serviced and then we price it aggressively (on the high end) I did my research (NADA and Kelly Bluebook) and the retail price for this car in excellent condition should sell for $12,700 and Luther wanted $13,999 when I asked why the car was higher she said, well we put $1,300 in new tires and other repairs. I said, well you just took the high book price and added the repairs to the price and this car is not in excellent condition (She explained that only 1% of cars are in excellent condition) I said, yes and this car is not in excellent condition but Luther is pricing it as excellent. She said, well this is America and we are a for-profit organization so I am going to get as much as I can. At this point I called my wife and said do you really love this car because Luther is over charging us by $1,500 and I have this Sales Manager from xxxx and I can’t buy from her. My wife said, I love the car and it is a one owner so let’s buy it. My advice is don’t buy from Luther Auto Group but if you have too (Wife loves the car) be prepared to over pay for your car and avoid Sales Manager Ashley. More

I was told when in for an oil change 3,000 miles ago I had two imminent failures on my vehicle. The intake gasket and water pump needed to be replaced right away for a cost of about $1,000. The intake gasket had just been replaced by Luther 24,000 miles ago at a cost of over $800. I had the vehicle inspected by 2 independent certified mechanics. The intake leak was very small and needed to be addressed within the next few thousand miles(not immediately) and there was nothing wrong with the water pump. I told Luther about this and they did offer to reduce the price on the work. I had the vehicle in for the intake work at Luther. They also looked at the water pump again and did not find anything wrong this time. The vehicle was not ready when promised and I had to wait for the wash when picking it up. This is the second time immediate major repairs were recommended by them that were not an immediate need or even necessary. Make sure you get a second opionion on any repairs they recommend. More

Trunk would not open using the in-car or either of 2 FOB's It took over 1 hour to get a diagnosis and the representative neglected to contact me to let me know what had to be done. He explained to me that a module was needed and would take 2 hours. After 2 hours I contacted the rep and he told me that the mechanic did something to the air bag and would take more time. After about 30 minutes I was told that the work was done. I paid and went home thinking everything was OK. At home, I tried out the 2 FOB's and one worked ok, but the other didn't work at all. So I had to go back to the shop and the mechanic fixed the problem. The work wasn't completed when I paid the bill and drove off with the impression that I had gotten a good job. Not so, I got a job no shop should allow to happen. I paid big dollars to get a good job and after 4 hours, I had to go back so you, Luther, could finish the job. More

Had my 2012 Chevy Impala in for repairs for an intermittent problem that didn't happen every time you drove it. Couldn't get it to act up the first time I took it in but a week later it was actin intermittent problem that didn't happen every time you drove it. Couldn't get it to act up the first time I took it in but a week later it was acting up again so I stopped and picked up the service tech and was able to get it to act up. Since the problem was not tripping a sensor it made it very hard for them to diagnose. Working with the techs at GM they finally determined it was the camshaft actuators. All in all the process took almost a week but they provided me with a rental car and always kept me informed on what was going on. They were always friendly and always had my best interests in mind. All repairs were completed and since the car was still under warranty there was no charge. Great service and great people! I would recommend them to any of my friends or family! As far as the actual dealership it is good. The service area however is a different story. I brought my truck in to get serviced the lady that I spoke with when I made the appointment informed me that she area however is a different story. When I got there the check in was great. The service rep that helped me told that it would take as long as 2 1/2 hours for the repairs. So I dropped my truck off by 2:00 pm I had still heard no word from the service rep so I called and was told my truck was getting put on the machine at that time. I was hot my car had pretty much sat there the entire time.Long story short the 2 1/2 hour job took 8 1/2 hours to complete so needless to say I wasn't able to get anything done for the day. I was happy that I was able to get my son from daycare on time. Like I told the service manager if that is how they do business I will never give them any of mine again in life ...I was thinking of purchasing tires from them but that last visit put a really bad taste in my mouth about that department so i will pass More
