We had been doing research and I found two vehicles I really liked. My number one choice was the Santa Fe and the other was a Chevy Traverse. I made calls and got a person named Abby Macgowan at Luther Burnsville Hyundai and we just clicked on the phone, she was so knowledgeable, we explained to her it had been a long time since we had purchased a vehicle, so we made an appointment to come in and do a test drive. We were BLOWN out of the water. Abby was not pushy, she genuinely cared about meeting our families needs and most of all she was truly sincere. Here's where it gets better. After leaving Luther Burnsville Hyundai we called to set up an appointment to do a test drive with the Traverse. We came into the dealership as we had with Luther Burnsville Hyundai wearing sweats and a sweatshirt on a Saturday morning, we didn't look bad just wasn't dressed up. We got with the salesperson and told her what we wanted to test drive and I kid you not, we were told we COULD NOT test drive the traverse, it was out of our price range? They tried to get us to test drive another vehicle and we ended up walking out. They weren't interested in our needs at all. We called Abby and told her we weren't ready to move forward at this time. I did ask her to keep in touch with us and she did. Never pushy just seeing where we were or if we were even interested in a vehicle anymore. I told her yes but we still needed time. Finally, a few months later, I had emailed Abby to see what her schedule was and if we could come up to see her again then called my husband and said lets go for another test drive. We were greeted by all the staff, they remembered our names, again in our sweats and sweatshirts and Abby, who I ended up giving a hug to, was again ready to answer all of our questions, got us the price we needed and the exact vehicle we wanted. We explained what had happened to us at the other dealership and thanked them for not judging a book by it's cover. Go see Abby Macgowan at Luther Burnsville Hyundai in Burnsville, Minnesota. I stopped by Burnsville Hyudai late on a Friday afternoon just to look. I had intention of buying. I figured that I had 3-6 months of payments on my current vehicle until I would get a decent trade. I spent about 45 minutes working with Melissa Garvey. She answered all of my questions promptly, and then after getting my driving habits and my desires offered two model options. I asked her to have the numbers run on both models. Needless to say, the lease amount and the trade value blew me away. I was so pleased with the numbers, I signed. By this point the dealership was supposed to be closed for the evening. Melissa, the sales manager, the finance manager, and the detailer stayed late and delivered my new Sonata to me that night. Since the purchase, I have been in many times for a free car wash and those that worked with me that night say hi when they see me, and Melissa stays in contact with me to se if there is anything I need and make sure I am pleased with my purchase. I received a great deal, with no pressure. I had shopped around so I knew they were more than fair. Now after 4 months they continue to impress me. Everyone has been super friendly and courteous. Got to see my car, the Sonata, on a lift as the service tech showed us various features even on the underside of the car (owners of other models could see their vehicle on a lift as well). Also, Hyundai had a safety specialist on hand who demonstrated many safety features including the deployment of a airbag - Bang! I would have never thought a discussion on safety could be so fascinating. Just before the open house I had the oil changed using my first free oil change coupon (enough free coupons for 3-4 years). I totally expected to be pressured to add this, or do that, and have to reach into my pocket for something - as that has been my experience at nearly every shop. Instead I was surprised that all they said after changing the oil and going through the checklist was "Thank You. You're good to go." Besides getting a great car, I've also enjoyed a friendly dealership, and service department. More
