The entire car buying experience was as smooth as can be with Brian Sommer handling the sale, this is due to many factors, but mostly because of his experience & advice, honesty, friendless, chill personali with Brian Sommer handling the sale, this is due to many factors, but mostly because of his experience & advice, honesty, friendless, chill personality and no pressure sales style. I live out of state and Brian was extremely helpful from the very first conversation and continues to be, even after I’ve taken ownership of the car. The car had just arrived at Luther West Side Volkswagen and they hadn’t taken photos to accompany the posting yet, so Brian immediately went out in the cold & snow and took a thorough video (with tutorial). He even identified an item I would of been concerned abt (credit to him and the Luther Westside team, it was fixed pronto). I was pretty sure this was the car for me, so Brian advised that I put a deposit down to hold the car. I later found out there were many folks interested in this car; without Brian’s advice, I may have missed out. Brian was very respectful of my time, he emailed some forms for me to fill out online which sped up the purchasing process once I made the trip to the dealership. He also asked what time I’d be arriving, this allowed him to ensure he was available and to have the car freshly washed and parked up front. I really appreciated this as I’ve arrived to other dealerships after letting them know I’m coming only to find a dirty car or that it’s blocked in by other cars on the lot. There were many instances of thoughtful things Brian did to further reinforced my assessment that Brian is an expert salesman. And I think it’s worth mentioning Brian hinted to me, very casually, at some point of the buying process, that he’s been selling cars for over 20 years. This was most definitely apparent now that I look back at how enjoyable this car buying experience was. The no haggling fair upfront pricing Luther Westside Volkswagen offers was helpful in taking the stress out of that whole bit of making sure you feel like your getting a good deal. I had zero issues with the price they were asking and actually I think I got a pretty sweet deal on the car. All in all, this was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. The professionalism, expertise and attention to detail, matched with a personable and friendly persona makes Brian Sommer a top notch guy to buy a car from. I wouldn’t hesitate to send anyone I know or even someone I don’t know his way to buy a car. I hope to own this car for many years so I’m not sure how soon I’ll be needing to buy a vehicle, but when the time comes I’ll most certainly be looking Brian up to see what vehicles he has to offer.
