We really appreciated Jesse, our salesman. He was a pleasure to speak and interact with. He had our best interest in mind and got us a great deal on the truck we wanted. All in all, our buying experience was decent but there was a lot of things that could've been done better. We have to return to the dealership to get a couple of dings buffed out on the driver side door & was a lot of things that could've been done better. We have to return to the dealership to get a couple of dings buffed out on the driver side door & the experience took way too long, in general. Our salesman, Billy, didn't know much about payload of the truck we were buying and how that relates to towing a trailer. My wife was kind enough to explain how it works. Initially, the salesman didn't want to show us the car because we got the impression he didn't think we could afford it - huge mistake. But he was a young man, still has much to learn. More
Billy was the best help and went above and beyond to getting me into a car for me and my family. Walked out with the best deal and it was the best experience I’ve had at any dealership! 👌🏽 getting me into a car for me and my family. Before heading out there (since I live about an hour away), I first called to confirm a few of things: 1) If they had the vehicle in stock. 2) To confirm the price that was listed by them on autotr away), I first called to confirm a few of things: 1) If they had the vehicle in stock. 2) To confirm the price that was listed by them on autotrader. 3) If there were any markups, addendums and/or ad-ons. I was told that the vehicle was in stock, the price was accurate and they had NO markups or ad-ons. GREAT- on our way we go, with kids in tow. That was the worst mistake ever! I’ve been shopping a few days, so I know what the market is like, and I understand some dealers have markups and some don’t. After a test drive, we went inside to start looking at the numbers, I told them that I already had my own financing through my credit union and you won’t believe what came out of their mouth... they said that Chevy wouldn’t allow anyone to purchase a vehicle cash or with their own credit union financing and that I HAD to finance with them, because checks from credit unions were bouncing. REALLY? CHECKS FROM CREDIT UNION BANKS WERE BOUNCING?!?!? Could you not come up with a better sales pitch??? Chevy doesn’t own your dealership. It was completely ridiculous. I actually feel sorry for the sales guys that are made to make those completely atrocious lies. I asked him to give me the out the door price, and he came back with about $18k higher than the sales price. Huh? How did that happen? Well besides the taxes & fees (which I understand), there were addendums/ad-ons that cannot be removed. I disputed this, relaying the conversation I had with them BEFORE I made the drive over there. Then, he brings in his manager, He was rude, aggressive and arrogant, and thought he could talk me down. He was extremely angry and in his words said: “you’re not letting me make any extra money off you”, “you’re not letting me make money off the financing and now you want me to remove all the ad-ons?”. I was highly annoyed that they made me waste my time, but they seemed angry once I made it clear they were not getting my business. The owner should be EMBARRASSED of how their employees, specifically their manager acts and treats customers. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME TO GO TO THE M.K. Smith Chevrolet Dealership! More
