Recently after my beloved 13 year old Silverado met with a 230lb deer, I was suddenly in the market for a new truck. I didn't want just any truck. It had to be another Silverado of coarse and since I was a 230lb deer, I was suddenly in the market for a new truck. I didn't want just any truck. I soon discovered that the truck that I wanted, white, leather, loaded, V8 with a 3.42 differential was in short supply since the new 2014 Silverados had just recently hit the lots. After visiting and talking with several dealers over 5 days, none of them could locate the truck I wanted. I finally met Robert Reynolds at MacMulkin Chevrolet in Nashua, New Hampshire. They had more Silverados on their lot than all 3 of the other dealers I had visited. I went there from Massachusetts to see and drive one of their trucks that had every feature I wanted and then some, except it was not the color I wanted. As I test drove the Silverado, Robert listened to my new truck wish list and was very knowledgeable about the newly redesigned 2014 Silverados. There was no sales push pressure like at the other dealers. After talking with Robert for 10 minutes, I learned more about the new Silverado line than I did from all of the combined prior salesmen at the other dealerships. After the test drive, Robert was able to locate two possible trucks for me. I asked why he was able to find two when none of the other dealers could find the truck I wanted. He said they have numerous dealers in which they have swap agreements with. A few days later, I was excited to pick up my new truck. The excitement quickly faded as I noticed that the dealer that they swapped with had drilled screw holes in the metal of the fender lip for splash guard installation. Since I did not ask for splash guards, the prior dealer simply removed them and left exposed bare metal drill holes just waiting for New England rust to set in. To make a long story short, Robert told me that they will do whatever it takes to make me happy and they did. Robert arranged for me to have a free rental car from their lot and the guys in the MacMulkin body shop did a super fantastic job of repairing, sanding and repainting the screw holes. The truck looked like it should have...like it came from the factory, with no evidence of drill holes. I can not thank Robert Reynolds and everyone at MacMulkin enough for the no pressure, customer comes first, buying experience I had at MacMulkin Chevrolet. This was my 6th vehicle purchase and it was by far the best experience yet. I only have one regret regarding Robert and MacMulkin Chevrolet and that regret is that they are not "just around the corner" from my house, so I could go there for all my Silverado servicing needs. Originally went in and purchased a used truck and left a deposit . Truck wasn't ready when they said and we decided to buy new instead. They refused to put any accessories on until all paper work was done and paid for. Keep in mind I live approx 2 hrs away. They lst my insurance binder on day of delivery after insurance co was closed and said come get truck next day. After hours of complaining they let me take it home. Called owner Jeff Thompson next day and he seemed to care less about it. He got his money. Bunch of slime xxxxx that have no clue how to deal with people. Stay away. More

To start MacMulkin is unprofessional, rude, disorganized and a complete joke as a dealer. Recently I visited MacMulkin looking to buy a new Chevrolet Sonic or Spark because my current vehicle failed state i and a complete joke as a dealer. Recently I visited MacMulkin looking to buy a new Chevrolet Sonic or Spark because my current vehicle failed state inspection and the repairs were more than the cars value. I was immediately greeted by a salesman who asked if he could help and I explained to him I was going to be looking at the Sonic or Spark and that I was only looking to price shop what they had first then I would find him if I had any questions. Apparently that answer is frowned upon because he kept asking me questions and followed me to the cars. After going through the third degree I finally managed to get a test drive out of him and settled on the Spark and started talking price. I said I would like to try and keep the payments low and asked what we could do about the price since it was a bare bones model and I felt the price was a bit high. Before I could even finish my sentence he cut me off and said "there is no flexibility in the price of these cars because they are already so cheap". $14,900 is not cheap for a bare bones car with only power windows and A/C for options. He quickly and sharply asked about my credit and I was honest and told him it is on the mend but wounded and that is why I was looking cheap and trying to stay in a payment zone that was comfortable.He then asked if I had proof of employment and residence and I explained to him I had recently moved in with my brother and his wife and I can have those things for him in 5 minutes because my brother works from home. He paused looked upset and then said it wasn't a problem and they can work with me on financing but it might take some effort on my part. I don't even know what he meant by that. At this point I had called my brother and he came up with my things about 10 minutes later and hung out with me while I waited 30 minutes for my salesman to return. When he did finally return he kept getting distracted by other things going on in the dealer. He gave me a credit form to fill out didn't even look at the stuff my brother left work to bring me and disappeared again for 10 minutes. He returned and took my credit form to the finance guy and said he'd let me know in a day or so. I found this odd since my brother just bought a car and he found out in 20 minutes. When my brother asked why it would take so long he said that's the way they do it. Disgusted with the salesman my brother walked out. I should have too. Not only did they not call or answer when I called I had to have my brother once again take me up to the dealer and wait until I found him. When I did find my salesman he said I wasn't approved for the loan amount and I should ask my brother to co-sign if I want it. When I said that wouldn't work he said and I quote, "I guess we could get you into a used car but I don't have time to do it today. Come in on Thursday (July 4th) and we'll get you into something we have many used cars.". Thursday came and again my brother takes me to the dealer and the salesman then informs me that I had a 10k limit and it couldn't be any older than a 2008 with miles under 85k. Info that would have been nice to know before hand. He proceeds to tell me he has nothing for me, but a fresh trade came in but he doesn't know anything about it and would let me know. Despite my brother telling me in front of the salesman that this place is a joke and I should wash my hands of them I said ok and waited until Saturday to hear from him. I call him because he never calls and he tells me it won't work but he has one that he just found that is in the body shop for a small dent on the rear door but other than that it is in awesome shape and he would call me then hung up. When I called to say forget the whole thing no one answered and his mailbox was full. Drove to Banks Chevrolet and was approved and driving my new car in 2 hours. Stay away from this dealer. The MacMulkin group is a joke and they they treat you like trash. Go to Banks or even Quirk instead. More

An update to my previous review. I stopped by for my oil change and door handle recall after they call me last week. I see they are changing and willing to help their customer to solve the problem. at least for now their attitude is honest, actually, this is what I am looking for as a customer. I am giving 5 star now, there will be no negative review if they do what they said! I looked into trading for a new car back in March 2013. Prior to processing my application, they asked for a refundable $99 administrative fee up front. The finance manager and salesman both indicated that they would refund my $99 administrative fee. 3 Months, a BBB report, and a call to my bank later, I'm still waiting for them to return my money. Go to any other dealer other than this one if you value your money and time! More

I bought a used car from MacMulkin, with 60,000 miles on it, the car was a little under 10 years old. I bought it and the transmission felt funny. I brought it back to MacMulkin while it was under warrant it, the car was a little under 10 years old. I bought it and the transmission felt funny. My warranty was for 3 months and the month after it ended the transmission blew on my car. I went back to them and calmly explained that I'm a recent college graduate and had no money and that my mother was sick at the time so my parents couldn't afford to help. They couldn't have cared less, they did not try to help me in any way when I knew and reported that something was wrong with the transmission within the first month of me owning the car. If you are for looking for a respectable, honest, integrity filled dealership DO NOT go to MacMulkin, was the worst experience of my life. More

I noticed online a Dodge Stratus used for sale for a reasonable price. I called to inquire about the car and was connected to Jason Lomabrd, who informed me he knew nothing of the car and would look int reasonable price. I called to inquire about the car and was connected to Jason Lomabrd, who informed me he knew nothing of the car and would look into it and call me back in 20 minutes. 2 hours later still no word I called back asking for him, he picked up the phone saying he could not find it on the lot and was going to check another building and a truck that had arrived saying could be on the truck, which to me made no sense because it was online, he said would call me back the next or I could call him. The next day I called at 10am and he still could not find it promising a call back in 15 minutes, 3 hours later no call, so I yet again called back only to be directed to his voicemail, which was full and I could not leave a message. At this point I called back asking for a manager and Paul picked up the phone I explained the issue and what I was looking for and he said would call back in 15 minutes, in 10 minutes he called back saying car was sold. Not sure why it took Jason 2 days to get nothing and Paul only 10 minutes to find this information. Paul then directed me to an affiliate dealership across the street offering another vehicle. I then purchased a car at a competitor that weekend. Three days later Paul called me asking, and I quote "Chris its Paul where are you?" To which i answered at work, his response at this point was "I figured that out, I meant with buying a car" When I informed him I purchased a car he responded by saying "okay fine" and hung up. To me they droped the ball in a big way and I would never recommend anyone coming here for a vehicle let alone a battery. Jason's lack of product knowledge was appaling, I suppose if I was asking about a 20k vehicle as opposed to a 5k vehicle he would have found it in 5 minutes. I feel as though I was treated based on the amount of money I was looking to spend not as a potential and future customer. More

My external financing fell through, and as such, so did the Tahoe deal. In an act which smacked only of retaliation, the dealer held ALL the funds, refusing to refund them until the vehicle was sold. There was never a reason for this, and it was NO part of the contract. The general sales manager had neither the common sense nor the courtesy to return my call, and no one above the level of the business manager would talk to me. Six weeks later the funds were credited. And though I don’t know for sure, I suspect that took place only after I reached out to a Chevrolet zone manager. In the past I had dealt with this dealer for servicing of a previous vehicle, and they had always been fair to deal with. But then, that’s the service end of the business. The dealership itself is a very decent facility. The sales consultant and the business manager were both decent guys, though it was clear that the latter became particularly frustrated with the whole process of me trying to get the money back. But as to ethics in business in the sales end of MacMulkin Chevrolet, caveat emptor: let the buyer beware. More

I have my car serviced at MacMulkin (Nashua, NH) dealership for the CUE system upgrade and the shifter recall fix. (This took me exact 1 week to finish this.)They gave me a free rental vehicle, when I got this rental car, the fuel tank is almost empty, one of the service manager told me I don't need to refill the gas before return. But after several days, they charged my about $15 dollars on the gas. I don't mind to pay for the gas, but they way they charge me make my so angry, 1. the service manager said I don't need to do this. 2. I return the car on Thursday afternoon around 3:00pm, why they don't charge me when I was there. 3. when I got the rental car, the fuel tank is almost empty, how can they charge me more than they had? I would not recommend this dealership to anyone according to their bad service and attitude to customer. More
