Toyota ( and yes I went ALL the way up the food chain with corprate on this ) said you need to get it modified yourself. So I have a friend who does the work at his body shop. The window stuck after he was done and I thought maybe it was the motor, I to it back to Toyota and they say we won't work not he car because YOU had this piece modified!!?? They a offered no compensation done said no it's not out fault whenI asked. It was bought at their deanship, it was their part and the work was done on their recommendation. I would not go back to them if they begged and offered free gas and service. Just terrible. Everything that they can screw you on they will!! Rob More

Willy Reyes is the best service person at Manhattan Beach! I have had all my vehicles serviced with Willy Reyes for many years. I purchased my first second hand car in 2004, a car I still have today. Willy Rey I have had all my vehicles serviced with Willy Reyes for many years. I purchased my first second hand car in 2004, a car I still have today. Willy Reyes has always done an outstanding job for me, my cars, in my household. I had made the rounds with the service people, in the last 10 years and Willy Reyes stands high above all the rest! Willy consistently gets me the best deals using the company's own coupons. Willy Reyes gives me outstanding customer service, he always delivers the best work, is always friendly. I don't like to deal with any other service manager at Manhattan Beach Toyota Dealership. I may take my business elsewhere if he ever leaves. More
Until recently, I had good experiences with this service department. However, I was already expecting them to try to sell me things I knew I didn't need so that wasn't a surprise. When I bought my car in department. However, I was already expecting them to try to sell me things I knew I didn't need so that wasn't a surprise. When I bought my car in 2006, they convinced me to buy the SolarShield paint protection program that guaranteed to detail my car twice a year inside and out for as long as I owned my car. I was happy with the results until recently. They are now telling me that they will no longer honor the SolarShield contract because some obscure third party was doing the work and they went out of business. More
I cannot say enough great things about how service manager Ken Winter solved a problem I was having with my Plug-In Prius. It involved an issue of not being able to charge at one set of public station manager Ken Winter solved a problem I was having with my Plug-In Prius. It involved an issue of not being able to charge at one set of public stations, even though I could charge everywhere else. He went above and beyond in diagnosing the issue (he even came out to the charging station on multiple occasions to trouble-shoot) and was able to discover the solution. It is rare to find people that will take the time to solve intricate problems like I was having, but Ken did, and he defines what great customer service is all about! Well done Ken! More
I both purchased and serviced my Prius at this dealer. With 30k on the vehicle, there's been no serious trouble, but... When I purchased the car, I went with a letter from my Credit Union and told to see With 30k on the vehicle, there's been no serious trouble, but... When I purchased the car, I went with a letter from my Credit Union and told to see the fleet dealer. They would not let me talk to the fleet dealer. The salesman admitted he'd never been in a Prius and knew absolutely nothing about the car, not even how to turn it on. At the 15k service, they said I needed air conditioning ducts cleaned ($90) and cabin air filter replaced. I had just replaced the cabin air filter. They said they hadn't looked at the filter, but assumed it was needed based on mileage. I purchased the regular cabin air filters from their parts department and have since found the carbon loaded filters at another dealer for the same price! I purchased 7 years of bi-annual "solar shield" treatments for $700, figuring they'd save me the trouble of periodic hand waxing. On one occasion the car was returned minus the antenna. On another, the car was returned with a door ding, which I could not prove had happened in their shop. Then I starting looking more closely at the finish. On the next visit I looked closely before and after, and was convinced the treatment had not been done. I returned the car for a redo. I asked the service manager for details on how the "solar shield" was applied, what prep work was done, etc. He told me he didn't know. I suggested he find out. He did not respond and never gave me any information. Upon inspecting the redone solar shield, I noticed road tar and other contaminants underneath the finish. I'm became resigned to the idea that, if I do take the car in for any more solar shield treatments, I will have to clean the paint before hand. And now the final straw: the solar shield treatment is supposed to be every six months, but in order to make only one visit to the dealer I took the car in six weeks "late" to coincide with the 5K mile service. Now my car is due for service again but they tell me they won't do the solar shield treatment a day sooner than six months from the actual date of the last treatment. Well, I won't be going back to Manhattan Beach Toyota. More
Overall the experience was great. Everyone that I have dealt with in the service or parts department are always friendly and cracking jokes. I inherited my 1990 SR5 from my father when I turned 16 and it dealt with in the service or parts department are always friendly and cracking jokes. I inherited my 1990 SR5 from my father when I turned 16 and it has been serviced there since my father bought it. I remember a time when I had to bring my truck in for service there because my belts were making noise. The mechanic actually opened the hood right under the service bay with me standing next to him telling me, in words that I could understand, what he thought was wrong with my truck. They always call right on time and if I have to leave my truck there for longer than expected they offer me a ride home or a rental car. Plus they wash my car for me after my service! I know that I'll definitely be buying my next car there. More
I own 3 Toyotas and have them serviced previously independently (which was not a great experience) - I have worked on different cars since High School Auto shop, I know what to look for before and af independently (which was not a great experience) - I have worked on different cars since High School Auto shop, I know what to look for before and after service and have not found anything like I did with the mistakes like the Independent service providers. I traveled with my family over a week and did not think twice about the status of my vehicle. I trusted the competency of the staff of Manhattan Toyota completely. I was so busy trying to get work completed and neglected to take 2006 Tacoma in prior to leaving. I contacted the service dept. / John / and not only did he get me in but out within the time promised I was able to schedule other items on the to list for the trip. I did not feel the need to double check everything since purchase of 2006. We had a great no issues trip.I like the fact that I can contact someone and get answers - office / parts / service and be confident that they know what they are talking about. I will probably see you in 6 months or 5000 miles whichever comes first! Sincerely, Gary J. Poje / MB More
I have been bringing my Carolla to Manhattan since purchase. I have been very please with the way I have been treated. They explain what needs to be done and why. I even had them show me a part which purchase. I have been very please with the way I have been treated. They explain what needs to be done and why. I even had them show me a part which they couldn't believe they needed to be changed. Once, I drove into the service area when it was raining, the windshield wiper rubber broke off and after purchasing one in the parts department, John personally helped me instal a new for me on the spot. That is just one of the many great experiences I have had as a long term customer of Manhattan Toyota my first car being a 1985 Toyota Celica GTS. Gary J Poje More
