Mankato Motor Co. - Service Center

Our vehicle was in for a recall fix. I called to schedule the appointment and they had to check into some parts before scheduling, and were going to call me back. They apologized and were able to schedule me quickly. My husband took the vehicle in, but I received an email saying we had missed our scheduled appointment (scheduled for 10:30 but the email was sent around 8am). Verified that we hadn’t missed appointment, and our vehicle was there and being repaired. The repair was quoted at an hour and the actual service took more than 2 hours. This is why I can’t give a 5 star rating. Overall was fine, and we’ve done a lot of business with Mankato Motors, but this visit had lots of hiccups/things that we would have expected to go differently. More

I needed a plow harness installed that came with my new truck. It had the part with the truck and I asked them to install it. They claimed I would have to cover the cost if install over $400.00. My salesman did not know the correct answer so went to the service department for help. They did not know the correct answer and were reluctant to take any advice of mine. I found the service bulletin and sent it to them and it stated GM would cover the cost one time. They still claimed that it wasn't correct and they tried sending me an irrelevant bulletin. I took it to Snell Motors and they installed it free of cost the next day. I am very dissatisfied with the lack of communication with Mankato Motors Service department. This went on for 2 months trying to get it installed. No apologies or anything were handed out. More
