Thank you for your response. We follow all manufacturers guidelines in our express service. All of our technicians are trained by Subaru to follow their process with filter recommendations. All of our customers have the right to choose what to do with the recommendations. We especially NEVER assume anyone's mental competence and we would NEVER exclude them based on anyone else's assumptions- in fact there are very CLEAR laws regulating such things. I am sorry you do not like the process, but we follow all manufacturer guidelines and will continue to do so. I am sorry you feel this way, but I assure you, none of our tactics are "predatory". All of our express teams are trained by the manufacturer to do a full multi-point inspection on every vehicle that comes into our express lane. We follow the manufacturer guidelines of when and how to make recommendations on services. It is our job to notify all customers of any items that do not pass the inspection. Many, many customers appreciate when we show them these items. Many choose for us to do them for them, others take the information and do it themselves. That does not mean we stop making the recommendations. If you do not like being informed of areas of concern your vehicle is having, then we might not be the best service shop for you. But if you want your car serviced by people who are trained to do so, and follow the manufacturers' guidelines for your specific vehicle, we will keep doing business here that way. I am sorry the service advisor spoke with the person who was here, and not with you directly, but someone still approved the work. It’s okay, honestly the main issue was that I had called earlier in the day before my scheduled appointment to inform them that my partner would be dropping it off because I was going to be at work during that time. I emphasized that I wanted to be contacted directly when service was complete so I could pay by phone, but that never happened. That was the main issue, if I was contacted when service was complete as requested then this situation would’ve been prevented. I still want to have my car serviced at the dealership, but I want follow through when I’m told directly that I would be the first contact even if my partner was there waiting. Obviously I need to be informed of other issues going on so I can address them to maintain my vehicle appropriately and I expect that when receiving service from your team. It was the not following what I requested after I was assured would occur when my car was done. That’s why I went as far as specifically calling and having it noted before the service that I needed to be the first point of contact regardless of anyone in person for approval.
