First Time Buyer At the tail end of a 2005 Dodge Dakota with over 210,000 miles, I was considering yet another truck. My neighbor suggested that I speak with his sale At the tail end of a 2005 Dodge Dakota with over 210,000 miles, I was considering yet another truck. My neighbor suggested that I speak with his sales rep, Carol Heyse at Martin Honda. My first interest was the Honda Ridgeline, however after weighing the pros and cons of a truck and and SUV, I decided on the the Pilot Touring model. One of the pros was the 2017 discounts and .9% 60 month financing. I'm always cautious about a new car experience based on previous purchases. If I had to summarize this purchase it would be 'one of the best, if not the best car buying experience I have had.' I consider myself to be demanding but reasonable, realizing that both parties need to 'win'. I met with Carol several weeks prior to my purchase and during that meeting and time of purchase there was never any pressure. We worked out some of the details of the trade value of the Dakota and a further reduction on the Pilot as it had been used by one of the sales managers for several months. During the transaction I was introduced to Kim Spencer, Finance Manger; couldn't have been smoother. In fact the next day I met with Ms. Spencer to clarify some of the added benefits I purchased and she answered all my questions. Equally helpful was Nick Saporito who assisted me with the initial review of the many features and benefits of the Pilot. Just when I had mastered some of those items, I had to return the next day for a follow-up review. Again, Nick was very accommodating and answered all my questions. I met briefly with Betty the Delivery Manger and am scheduled for added protection applications within a week. Carol also set up an appointment with the service department to install body side molding. In summary, I know this is early in my relationship with Carol Heyse and Martin Honda, but I would say without hesitation, we are off to a good start. I'll update as needed John J. Parker More
