Good people. Disappointed in some no call backs on my truck and the $1000 fuel tank that was installed not functioning as a secondary tank. I think it was install Disappointed in some no call backs on my truck and the $1000 fuel tank that was installed not functioning as a secondary tank. I think it was installed for sensor purposes due to a missing pump but I was under the impression it would function. The woman I was dealing with left towards the truck being finished and I then dealt with a new service person which is hard to go back and talk about I expected the tank to function. I know the mechanics are good there but it was a large bill with few problems resolved. More
The service consultant Adam was a polite courteous person who showed genuine concern for the customer. The service manager was angry and uncaring for the customers situation or needs. His negative attitude a who showed genuine concern for the customer. The service manager was angry and uncaring for the customers situation or needs. His negative attitude and presumption that he was some kind of legal counsel for the dealer was a real turn off. You go there because you need their expertise to get it done right and when the part is on back order with no ETA and you ask for options and get crapped on, it brings into question weather I really should purchase another vehicle from Marty’s. Just because a customer needs help it doesn’t make him God King of the GM service world. I would gladly discuss the experience with the owner to further explain. More

Attempting to rate a dealership is sometimes akin to rating a new house. No one word can rate a home. There is the work of the contractor and all the su-contractors, i.e. plumbers, electricians etc. rating a new house. No one word can rate a home. There is the work of the contractor and all the su-contractors, i.e. plumbers, electricians etc. So it is with my experience with Marty's. I realize I am not rating the vehicle I purchased, so here is my shared experience. The sales person was excellent, a perfect ten out of ten. The only negative part of my experience was with the financial director, an individual i should not have dealt with, period. i offered and ultimately wound up paying for my purchase in cash. That's all i wanted from the get go. It was only at the suggestion of Marty'x staff that I agreed to apply for credit. When it was determined that I did not qualify I met with the financial director who informed me of that fact. No problem I agreed to pay cash. I believed, incorrectly, that I was finished with the financial director, or whatever the proper term is. The aforementioned individual continued to brow beat me with some information that was either irrelevant or became irrelevant once I was denied credit. After several minutes of this diatribe i politely excused myself and went and sat outside. This action in no way deterred the aforementioned as he followed me outside to where I was now seated at the salesman's desk. Realizing that I am 76 years of age and severely handicapped, I have had a handicapped placard for over ten years. The financial director continued to brow eat me and i asked him, politely, to leave me alone as our business was complete. The individual continued to ramble on and on. Several moments later I once again asked him to stop talking and he refused. Yet a third time i politely asked this individual to leave me alone and again he refused. Finally, in desperation I asked this individual to "please shut up." Well you would have thought that i had insulted his family for multiple generations and no sooner had my words issued the phrase than the individual spun around and went off to an office where someone was seated behind a desk. Now I do not recall if i was summoned to that office or I went there on my own initiative. Either way I encountered an individual who could have not been any ruder to me had he majored in same at college. This individual held himself out as a member of the management team at Marty's, although I do not see his name listed as part of the management department (please see below). This person obviously saw an old, handicapped person in front of him and decided that he could threaten and intimidate such a person with complete impunity. He started of by telling me "I'm not selling you that truck.". Now please bear in mind that at this juncture this individual had both the truck, I really wanted, and over fifty thousand dollars in certified funds i had paid some time ago. Enraged this individual stated that he was going to give me my money back even though he never showed me the funds, or tendered payment at any time. He seemed quite content to have both the truck and my fifty plus thousand dollars. I informed this individual that I am a retired attorned, at which point I was interrupted by this individual announcing "So am I." Now it is illegal to hold yourself out as a doctor or a lawyer in Massachusetts, unless of course you actually are one. Then i was treated to a short diatribe on how I am a difficult person to get along with I informed this individual that I am not difficult to get along with. That I knew Marty, God Bless Him, going back to his days when he had a transmission shop in back of the Kingston Post Office, which he rented from the late Bennie MacFarlane. That i had purchased vehicles from Marty in the past and never had the slightest problem. I was then informed that I am not a nice person because, on the day prior, I went looking for my salesman, after being seated at his desk for some time, and interrupted an unscheduled meeting stating that time is the most valuable thing in my life, recall 76, handicapped (sorry I am eating a dead horse). At any rate that was the sole source and determinative of why i am hard to get along with. Well the rest is history now. So, in the final analysis, I rate your sales representative Zachary Taylor, era highly as for the rest I will, as the judge said, take it under advisement. 9ple More
