I wish I could give zero stars. I called Susan in the morning to verify they had the car I wanted. I explained it would be an easy sale and I'm bringing a check and need to drive of I called Susan in the morning to verify they had the car I wanted. I explained it would be an easy sale and I'm bringing a check and need to drive off the lot with a car. I let her know I would be coming from 4.5 hours away and would be getting there close to 6pm. She said that was completely fine, that I could still purchase the vehicle and take it home the same day, and they are there until 7pm. We got there at 6:05, test drove the car. I said great, lets do the paperwork and take it home. Daryl, the salesman, said I couldn't because everyone else went home. I was floored. They told me to come back the next day, and I explained I would not be driving another 8-9 hour round trip and that I would be taking my money elsewhere. They then allowed me to take a loaner home, and they said they would deliver the car the next day. Well, they lied about that too. Daryl couldn't deliver it the next day. I was bothered all day long non-stop for things that should have been requested all at once. I was not informed of what was needed ahead of time, and ended up over paying them on the cashiers check because they didn't let me know my title options and assumed I wanted to new plates (which they said they would refund me). Then I was forced to give up my lunch break another day later to sign the paperwork because that was the only convenient time for them. When I tried to push the issue and ask for them to drop it off when I get out of work, I was told by Daryl that I can either get it at lunch time or drive back out to Rochester to get it. I reminded him that I have no intentions of driving to that dealership again, so he just came at lunch time. Very rude for a "salesman" who didn't actually have to do any selling of the car. The car did not have the tray mats that were promised in the listing, and there was a blade randomly strew on the back seat. The gas was on empty. The tires are practically bald and regardless of how many times I pointed it out, they claimed it passed inspection. When I get the paperwork to sign while exchanging the money for the car, my address is wrong on everything. I asked for paper copies to be mailed to me so I have a correct version, but it has been 6 days and nothing. They never gave me my temporary insurance, so I was driving around without it for a few days. This has been the worst car buying experience I have ever experienced. They even had the audacity to quote me 10% for the interest rate when I was putting down well over half the cost of the car and had a credit score of almost 800, and when I complained that another dealership offered 7% and then I would just pay for it all, suddenly they could do 7.36%. All lies. I would never recommend purchasing from Matthews Greece again. They lie, misinform, and are incredibly unprepared. I wouldn't trust them with my money or anything else. More
