My last two vehicles were purchased brand new from Nissan, and I have been a loyal customer for 13+ years having all my repair work and maintenance done through the dealership. I have referred countle Nissan, and I have been a loyal customer for 13+ years having all my repair work and maintenance done through the dealership. I have referred countless customers over the years because of the service and care I had always received. This last repair was unlike any past experience through both the Matthews Collision Center and Matthews Nissan Service Center. The way I was treated as well as the repair work done to my car was not the quality I have come to expect or the professionalism that I have grown to trust and rely on over the past 13+ years. Situations were not handled properly and there was little to no accountability as I was shuffled between people. Prior to two separate deer accidents two weeks apart, my vehicle ran perfectly. The first accident I hit a deer and damaged the front right passenger side of my car. The second accident two weeks later, a deer ran into my driver side back tire area. I took my car in for repairs (after both accidents) to the Matthews Collision Center and advised them that my check engine light was on and there were loud clunking sounds not there prior to the accidents. When I picked my car up, I was told both complaints were checked and the car was good to go. Over the next few weeks, the check engine light came back on and the clunking in the car got worse. At this time, I reopened the claims and took my car back to the collision center, this is when I was informed that the collision center never even sent my car over to the service center to have my complaints looked at the first time. The collision center is not qualified to diagnose warning lights or clunking sounds, and my car should have gone to the service center for analysis which would have caught the suspension issues caused by the deer hits. Once the service center looked at my car the suspension issues were immediately identified. After being shuffled back and forth between the collision and service centers I was told I needed the following repairs. A valve sensor solenoid, two struts/springs on the front right and back left tires, two rod assemblies and connecting rod, sway bars and control arm. With all that needed to be repaired I was put in a dangerous situation driving a car that I was told initially had been checked and was good to go. I was told the damage doesn't "appear" to be from the deer accidents but erroneously from towing damage, the car has never even been towed. The only trauma my car had was the two deer hits. To state it was trauma but not the deer hit, cost me a lot more money. The only reason I am hesitating to take further action is because of Jim Morse and Andrea Barrett's efforts. My relationship with Matthews Nissan is based on countless years of trust and loyalty built between us. Because of this incident I no longer have that security, and I will think twice about where I buy my next car from as well as who I have care for it. . More
