I was in contact with four different dealerships - Elk Grove is a two-hour drive from my house, so believe me when I say I was looking for reasons to stay local. The bottom line is that Gerlie won me over with her communication and willingness to work on a fair price. She made it clear she wanted my business and would work to make it happen. That made the drive more than worth it. And when I had to wait a day to take delivery, she brought it up to my house on a Sunday afternoon. Financing was quick and pretty painless. Kyle explained things clearly and answered all my questions. The only part of my experience that was less than pleasant was during the warranty/gap coverage up-sell. I felt I made it very clear to Kyle that we were not interested in additional/extended Mazda warranties; he responded with, "So you want to spend more money? You're OK with that? Can you explain why, for a corporate survey they make us fill out?" When I answered with, "I am satisfied with the warranty coverage included," he responded with, "I see, because the most common answers are 'I can't afford it' or 'I don't understand it.'" I get the tactic of getting me to react to the implication that I'm too broke or dumb, but it made my wife really uncomfortable. That portion aside, Kyle struck me as a pleasant, professional guy. All in all, if the worst part of a car-buying experience is a sales pitch you don't go for in financing (and I say "worst" very lightly), you can't complain, and that's the case here. It was an overall enjoyable experience and Gerlie's communication was clear, fair and aggressive (in a welcome way). :) More

There was one problem though that could have been avoided. We take part in the blame, but we think that the people of the dealership should have been clearer. Before we came we said we'll pay with a personal check. I also explained that my credits are frozen, and was told that there will be no problem. That was not the case. There was a need for a credit check, and I could not unfreeze the credit since I did not have the password with me. We were then told that we can instead get a cashier check at a local bank. We managed to do that with some adventures on the way, and then was told that there is still a need for a credit check. At the end they relented and waved the credit check, and we completed the transaction. More

Long process, but well worth it I was in the market for a new 7 passenger SUV back in May 2016. When I called the Mazda of Elk Grove to see if the CX-9 has arrived in their showroom, I was in the market for a new 7 passenger SUV back in May 2016. When I called the Mazda of Elk Grove to see if the CX-9 has arrived in their showroom, Gerlie picked up the phone and invited me for a walk-around and test drive at the dealer the same afternoon. When we arrived, Gerlie came out and greeted us. At this time, I took the opportunity to explain we are still at the "shopping" phase and are not looking to make a purchase today. Gerlie understood and went on to introduce us to the two CX-9 models we were most interested in. During the walk-around and the test drive, Gerlie was able to answer any questions we had for her, demonstrating understanding in the products she sells. After the test drive, she invited us to sit down and discuss what our ideal CX-9 would be. I explained that if I were to buy one, it will have to be in this trim, in this color, and with this package, which they did not have at that particular time. So then she asked if I would like to place a refundable deposit of $500 in an effort for her to secure this particular SUV at the port. I agreed, paid the $500, shook hands, and continue our SUV shopping at another dealership. Fast forward 6 weeks, July, and no SUV purchased, Gerlie called and said the CX-9 has arrived and asked me to come out to see it. Went out and it was exactly what I asked for. Gerlie, however, was unavailable at the time, so another sales took over. After some intense negotiation and haggling over the course of one week, we settled at a price and at an interest rate that I was comfortable paying. At finance, Steven was professional, knowledgeable, and patient as I read through some of the paperwork. But after handing over the down payment, the deal was finished, without me even realizing it. And I felt great making this purchase! Looking back, it was an incredibly easy process. At no point was I pressured into buying. Because of Gerlie's hustle to earn my business, I now own a beautifully crafted CX-9! Definitely recommend buying from and working with Mazda of Elk Grove. More

Back for Mazda #3 I wont go anywhere else! Long story short, I was in the market for another Mazda after mine was totaled in Nov and I was not happy with the car I purchased after the accident. We came out on a whim just to browse to see what they had. Needless to say everything and everyone I came into contact with fell seamlessly in place. I did not plan on trading my car in but let me say! Jaik was NO PRESSURE and let me do all of my thinking I needed, he was really patient with me as I was going back and forth between two Mazdas I liked. I selected a CPO 2014 red Mazda6, I was extremely nervous because I have fairly new credit, and I had joked that one day I really did want to meet the owner John because I have been coming here for so long and I really just wanted to say thank you... Sure enough the owner John who was cool came shook my hand ect and we started the process. I ended up going from 13% financing on the car I traded in to 3.9%!!! YES!!! Steven was able to work his magic and get me THE RATE I WANTED too!!! I literally started to cry when he said my interest rate! Hard work does pay off! While we were going over all of the paperwork I asked really basic questions he took his time to explain everything too, I didn't feel in any way that I was being cheated or misled. I was really afraid I was going to wake up the next morning going what did i do?! But that was not the case at all. Jaik in sales walked us through everything, had the car detailed as if it was a new delivery car as mine is CPO, took time to explain everything I would need to know about the new car and set up my iPhone, Replaced the broken smart key with a new one and he even helped me take the things out of my old car *I wasn't planning on buying a car that day...* I could not have asked for a more picture perfect buying process. I did have to take the car back a few days later because a headlight burned out but Billy had me in and out in no time as usual with a friendly smile. We didn't get around to the mazda dealership until 7pm. Even though it was getting late Garrett was more than willing to talk to me about the car I wanted and he had given me a lot of helpful information on financing versus leasing and about Mazda 3's versus Mazda 6's. What I liked most about the dealership was how Garrett didn't act like a sales person. He talked to me like a normal person and understood that I had a budget. He also understood that I wasn't quite ready to buy a new car just yet. After my visit I looked at other Mazda dealerships to see what they had to offer and I disliked all the other dealerships because they treated me like used cars salesmen do. While the other Mazda dealerships called me almost daily trying to get me to buy something I wasn't sure I could afford, Garrett checked in appropriately and never once made me feel uncomfortable or like I didn't have a choice. I'm happy to say that Garrett worked with me for about four months and I finally got my new 2016! I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Mazda of Elk Grove has the best employees and the best cars. Fritz was cordial, constructive, and worked with our numbers. Unlike other dealerships, there was no aggressive hard sell when we left to consider our options. On the third day, Elias helped us through the process of actually purchasing the car, answered all of our practical questions, and remained attentive through the closing steps of the process. Overall, it was a very positive experience that avoided many of the hassles and headaches we anticipated. More
