Mr. A, I have read your review and understand your frustration. This is not a representation of how we do business and we believe no customer should have this type of experience. We strive to provide every customer with the best possible experience to help them through their service process so they can get back on the road. LOL-Amy says ELK GROVE MAZDA still wants to talk to me, still wants to work this out. Here's the scoop. I had to file a complaint with BAR. ELK GROVE MAZDA agreed that they had scrached up the black tape around the window frames and agreed to replace said tape and i could go anywhere i wanted to have it fixed and they would pay for it. John Hennessey handed me a package. Inside was supposed to be the tape for all four doors, and i was to go to a body shop and get it fixed. When I opened the package, only the tape for the 4 posts was inside, not all the tape for around the windows. After refusing to pay Bertoluccis to install the tape as they promised, they then said they would NOT give me the rest of the tape that was supposed to be in the box, which was promised to me after it was damaged at their shop. When the sun came out after weeks of fog i saw all the glass had the same scratches as the tape. ELK GROVE MAZDAS FINAL ANSWER... they want me to come get a check to cover the cost of the tape repair. ($1054) after BERTOLUCCIS lowered their price 3 times, but still refuse to give me the remaining tape needed to complete the job. My insurance co has seen the damage. The glass alone is $3000.(installed) The owner of ELK GROVE MAZDA, who also owns ELK GROVE NISSAN, and i believe ELK GROVE LEXUS,(not positive on the last one but he owns 1 other) says he wants me to sign a waiver letting them off the hook for not only scratching up my glass and window frames, but tearing my motor down and replacing parts that didn't need replacing,as they "experimented" switching out different engine components to try to fix whatever they did to it during a test drive. They put 1k on my car. They had it for a month or so. Would not let me see the car at all, and refused to let me have my old parts. John Hennessey said, "THE PARTS FROM YOUR MOTOR HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE WHEREHOUSE"--I SAID FINE, I JUST WANT TO INSPECT THEM FIRST, BUT WASNT ALLOWED TO DO THAT EITHER.I think thats against the law. Why not let me even look at my old parts? Because the parts they replaced in my motor were not damaged, and with a rare car like the speed6 originality is what might have made it a valued collectable some years down the road. All because i took my car in for a simple oil change and a 45k service( which was never done) when i got home and inspected my fluid levels, they were low.No wiper fluid at all. I spoke personally w/ the mechanic, Jeff, who told me while working on my car the timing belt slipped off the tensioner. That was the beginning of the end for the original parts in my rare MAZDASPEED6. They replaced my injectors too, my car ran better, but i bet it won't pass smog next time i need to get it smogged. They did something to make my car pull to the redline, something the speed6 is notorious for not being able to do. Maybe they increased the boost from the turbocharger, who knows, i was kept entirely in the dark while my motor was in pieces. Ay any rate, i took note of this and if my car does not pass smog next time, i'll know why. So Amy replies that ELK GROVE MAZDA wants to work this out... if only I'd call, while the owner, John Driebe, has said he wants me to sign a release and never show up at his lot again. That is their idea of customer service. Maybe Amy is kept in the dark about the details, just like me. Anyone who questions my comments just call Bertoluccis in Sacramento and ask them how many times they had to lower the price before ELK GROVE MAZDA was willing to pay, and pay ONLY if i signed a release letting them off the hook for everything they did to the motor as well, and not letting me have my old parts back, even for a quick inspection. As well as NOT even providing the remainder of the tape needed for the job to be done.I also have to agree to have no furthur contact w/ them. He thinks I'm so hard up for 1k that it's enough to make me just go away. My resolution.... I think they should buy the car. It will never be what it was. I'm tellin you, stay a far away from these dealerships as you possibly can. When the weather clears I will be just outside the dealership to let potential customers know about my expierience at ELK GROVE MAZDA. Hopefully i wont see you there, for your own good. Oh, and Amy, JOHN DRIEBE, the owner, has my ph. number. If he truly wants to work out something reasonable I'm all ears> I"ll keep this dealerrater page notified whether he calls or not, since he wants to work it out so bad. THE WORST PLACE IV'E EVER HAD TO ENTER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Oh they'll be friendly and smile and chat it up, but they have darker intentions in mind for anyone who walks through the door there. BUY A CAR AT ELK GROVE MAZDA OR ELK GROVE NISSAN?-- oh my goodness please dont do that to yourself.
